Not everyone is toxic, it is a lot of mental patients for the most part. I had my headset and mic on but not transmitting. I went in to play as Crypto (the game states he is surveillance) on the Kings Canyon, I dropped to hack the Map Room. The other two drop like rocks into the fray, I ping them all the enemies.
Text: "There are all the teams on your map."
and they die in seconds after I left the map room. I finally hear them calling me *, as they ping their deathboxes...
Opened my mic: "I am too far to reach you. I did my job of giving you intel on the map and the next ring."
Cussing and swearing continued until they rage quit the match. I some how managed to survive until #2 and killed the lifeline for the win.
The moral of this story; Be polite and always stick around for the win. Don't take it seriously, it is a game, games are fun, you are not going to make any cash winning BR or Arenas. Have fun!

I always keep everyone muted unless they're a friend for this very reason as well; and if that "friend" gets all toxic, I instantly unfriend them and leave their party. I have zero tolerance when it comes to being treated like trash.
Back before muting was an option, I heard every insult in the book, and the ones yet to be written. I heard someone make racist remarks about my color when I was picking Bangalore back in Season 0, I've been called trash, garbage, dog <>, etc. No one deserves to be treated that way. No one.- 4 years ago
@Midnight9746As much as I like that option I don't see how much it helps if it doesn't happen until the end of the game, unless the punishment carries over into other matches for a time.
For text chat..perhaps they need a list of blacklisted words and when the system detects someone trying to send such things it blocks the message, warns them, and if it continues, bans them from talking.
As for voice, I don't really know how they can detect someone talking, but if someone gets enough reports then perhaps a timed mute ban?- Midnight97464 years agoHero+@XxColdFangxX I mean.. games like Phasmophobia uses voice recognition, so that's what I meant for voice chat.
