We all get that EA games are the money hungry bad guys but do they not realize they are losing money by making there holiday loot boxes so expensive. And making the skins about 18 usd. Who would buy 1 skin for 20 usd or spend 60 usd for the chance you may get what you want. At this point I feel like ea does not like making money or keeping Customers

@redrosekight If lowering the costs would make them more money, then they would. Apparently their doing well with the prices where they are.

@redrosekight 1 - If you want fancy skins - buy them.2 - Fancy skins don't make you better.3 - You have no reason to complain that nice things are expensive. If the game costs $120 you could complain but the game is FREE and is normal - nice stuff like skins and heirloom (unless you open them with apex pack) to cost money.

I guess I’m in the minority then. $18 for a single skin is NOT a good price point. Imagine how much more money they would make if they made things more affordable for everyone. If you want everything in the event then you have to shell out $160! That’s the price of 2 new games and then some.Yes this is a free game and no one is asking for cosmetics to be free. We’re asking for them to be priced more reasonably.If they made their game currency more useful they could retain more players. A lot of us are sitting on 100K+ of legend tokens with almost nothing to use them on. Why not allow us to convert it to Apex Coins? It wouldn’t have to be a 1:1 ratio but it would give players more incentive to play.Why have a level cap? Why limit the number of apex packs players get? Why do challenges only give battle pass XP?This game could be so much more! They could’ve staggered apex packs every 10 levels and removed the level cap. They could give rewards other than BP XP for challenges such as Apex packs or skins/unlockables.I guess my opinion doesn’t matter though. I mean I’ve only spent about $250 on this game so far and poured several 100s of hours into it. I’ve only talked to several people who believe I’m right that making items more affordable would bring sales up and that offering players more rewards would help attract and keep more players long term.But then you get a group of people that say, “It’s a FTP game so stop expecting everything to be free.” When in fact I’m not expecting anything to be free nor do I feel entitled to anything. I make suggestions like these because I read player feedback and have talked to several people so I know what would bring many of my friends back to this game. I like Apex but these business practices are running its player base off and that sucks.

@redrosekight i think the Xmas cosmetics (as well as the Halloween ones for that matter) are absolutely HIDEOUS, the regular legendary skins are FAR superior in every way, shape and form

while i personally wouldn’t mind dropping that ca$h to get the heirloom, i’m definitely not doing it for the bunch of items that literally burn my eyes when i look at them

so, yeah, i wouldn’t mind if the ltm packs were bit cheaper, but i think Respawn should focus on bringing actually appealing items in the first place

@redrosekight Unlike everyone else I agree with you Im not wasting $18 for a single skin, and I sure as hell am not taking a 1/24 gamble at $7 a box to get one of the few skins I would actually want to use so I am one of the many they are losing money off of I would pay maybe $10 for the skin I want but not $18

@Pretzelnutcake Greedy Schemes? So a company puts out a 100% free to play game, with absolutely zero pay to win and you still call them greedy?
You can't get more kills because you bought a cosmetic...So any purchases are by people who want to support the game, not because they feel they must.

I don't like greedy companies either but this particular game is the complete opposite of greedy. They even give you nearly endless free loot boxes now so you can save up for any cosmetic you want and craft it eventually.

How are they supposed to keep the electricity on if they don't make money? How are they supposed to keep the game functioning if no money is made? Yes Apex would be gone... and we all would have to find a new game.

I'm referring to their monetisation strategy of targeting a vulnerable demographic; whether that's children who aren't responsible, or adults with addictive personality disorders.
