Why random matchmaking is so frustrating

So imagine the following (not unrealistic) scenario. You are queued into a lobby with 59 other players. 57 of these are bad/average, 2 of them are god tier players who are farming kills in the regular queue. What will happen?

The chance for a god tier player to be in your squad is 2/59, while the chance for him to be in an enemy squad is 57/59. The chance for both of the god tier players to be in enemy squads is therefore (57/59)*(56/58) = 0.933

This means in this scenario, there is a 0.933 chance that you'll be matched with potatos while some god tier player will come blazing across the map and wreck you before you can even fight back. In other words, it will happen in 14 out of every 15 matches. (And that number gets even worse if the 2 are squadded up in a duo!). This is exactly how my experience in the regular queue has been recently.

The problem here is, of course, the 2 god tier players that are dropped into a lobby full of people who aren't on their level at all. This is the game's biggest weakness. Ranked mode isn't the only mode that should have a decent matchmaking and I hope the devs will at some point improve the normal queue.

  • to be honest i find fascinating how many players actually want for the game to become easier and other players to get worse instead of trying to get better. Me wants shroud to become crap so i can be god tier player also ...... i have no idea what is going on in this world and what are your parents or ancestors teaching you but bro here is a lesson if you are getting DESTROYED you should be destroyed so get better or gtfo I am frustrated how many of you are out there trying to point a gun in the right direction and trying to make it good by writing on the forums

  • @nooblet123 Personally I don't see a problem with high skilled players in the lobby but my problem is that I passed lv100 a long time ago and am still getting paired with lv20 and below players, sometimes below 10 even. My skills are nowhere near good maybe average at best but atleast I know the game and it's mechanics and such while my teammates don't know why their Havoc isn't firing when they press the button..
  • Every single person I've seen here on the forums don't have an actual argument as to why they want the game to be easier, or why they don't want solos. They only have one reason, which always 100% boils down to: "I want someone to carry me to a victory." Reason they want that, they're not good enough to actually get a victory on their own, and being at the end screen makes 'em feel like they did something, even when they do less than 200 damage despite their teammates fighting multiple squads. It's pathetic, and honestly, who wants to play with someone who literally does nothing BUT drag you down?

@pastaclownEither you’ve seen things I haven’t seen or your comprehension is wayyy off. Most ppl just don’t want noobs in their team who they have to carry. How does that boil down to ‘wanting someone to carry to victory’?

If that’s the case, everyone wants someone to carry them to victory, even pro players who do most of the work :D
