Why random matchmaking is so frustrating
So imagine the following (not unrealistic) scenario. You are queued into a lobby with 59 other players. 57 of these are bad/average, 2 of them are god tier players who are farming kills in the regular queue. What will happen?
The chance for a god tier player to be in your squad is 2/59, while the chance for him to be in an enemy squad is 57/59. The chance for both of the god tier players to be in enemy squads is therefore (57/59)*(56/58) = 0.933
This means in this scenario, there is a 0.933 chance that you'll be matched with potatos while some god tier player will come blazing across the map and wreck you before you can even fight back. In other words, it will happen in 14 out of every 15 matches. (And that number gets even worse if the 2 are squadded up in a duo!). This is exactly how my experience in the regular queue has been recently.
The problem here is, of course, the 2 god tier players that are dropped into a lobby full of people who aren't on their level at all. This is the game's biggest weakness. Ranked mode isn't the only mode that should have a decent matchmaking and I hope the devs will at some point improve the normal queue.
