I actually really liked the idea of the "fake tracks" for Bloodhound. It would be really situational and add another layer of "activity" for Bloodhound though, but nevertheless, it makes me think of the possibilities.
Getting back to the main topic though, of certain Legends getting picked more frequently. It seems awfully true at times; Certain Legends are more common in each team, but perhaps this is also the cause of a false sense of "superiority" among "some" players?
For instance, perhaps players view a "famous" player who picks a certain character (or simply another player in their match that plays really good). Players may get the sense as though that a character/Legend was picked by a really good player because of their advantages over the other Legends. And maybe they're not wrong to a degree; Certain Legends may really lean towards certain playstyles that those really good players like to showcase.
BUT. This doesn't mean we can't be just as successful with other Legends. I'm sure we've all seen clips or been in matches with or against players who are really good with Legends that are less popular.
The ability to escape for each Legend is a little relative, but I DO see your point! -Don't get me wrong. But how much of an escape does a Legend need? Teammates should typically be close enough to provide cover fire- to detract an aggressor. Or unless they're playing Octane... he's straight up reckless!! (But that's just his style)

Ah your statement about random teammates, "...they're mostly useless aren't they? Either [they] get knocked or disconnect instantly." There are plenty of those times where my teammates simply don't have the same coordination and may get caught in "bad spots"- perhaps following a maneuver that the rest of the team missed. Thus more escape would deem useful.
(Perhaps not so related to the topic but-) Many times for myself; (I play exclusively by myself- no pre-made teammates) these random teammates who're "not-so-coordinated" Or have the mobility to compensate for positioning mistakes, can actually offer great counter-attacks and even a full-reversal in a fight! It takes careful planning to think "where do I want to be in connection to my foe or unknown foe (an enemy not yet discovered in the field)? Perhaps it's partly the responsibility of the player to recognize their limitations- speaking of mobility- and compensate.
- 6 years ago@StarMystro Of course that doesn't imply to all random teammates as some are good, but others? Landing, getting dropped and insta-disconnecting? That's the dictionary definition of a garbage player with 0 teamwork skills in his bones.
