I realize how MMR and HIDDEN MMR works. Again, Rocket League was the same in that aspect. Only Rocket League did a much better job of actually placing you with the right team and the right teammates. My point is and always was, the players I get teamed up with now that I am GOLD 4 do not have the same EXPERIENCE in RANKED ARENAS that a GOLD 4 player would have. Therefore, even if the players were matched in SKILL they would not be matched in EXPERIENCE in RANKED ARENAS. And if HIDDEN MMR comes only from playing RANKED ARENA then clearly the HIDDEN MMR does not work right.
And there it was. It gave me brand new players and new arena players until it took me back down to Silver again. Tell me how the HIDDEN MMR works so well again? Not a single EXPERIENCED Ranked ARENA TM ever since I was I win away from GOLD 3. Not 1! For that reason, I will not be playing this game again. I won't play BG as that's no better. Just another thing they can't get right! I fully believe the MMR is the best way to place people, IF AND ONLY IF IT ACTUALLY WORKS RIGHT! But it CLEARLY does not! PRE MADE TEAMS are the only way to go, if you really want your rank to reflect your own skill. But that takes the solo or single player out of the equation unless that player wants to be frustrated every match KNOWING the TEAM placement is a joke. But again, should we be surprised at this point? I THINK NOT!! UNINSTALLED after 9 months of playing! No longer worth it to me as the game is not designed for the SINGLE OR SOLO player!
Yeah, maybe "clearly" its the system that is wrong and its the systems fault that your ranked carrier didnt go in a straight line up to Predator and now got demoted from Gold to Silver .. Or maybe the system works well and its your individual performances in your matches in relation to your teammates and opponents MMR and performances that got you demoted. Or something in between these to options....
Ps I am not being sarcastic here or accusing you of anything. There is a possibility that the system is totally flawed but Ive been around competitive games long enough to have seen all blamers who blames the system. All the talk about "silver ELO HELL" in LoL; "I cant get out of silver because of my teammates.". And its exactly the same here on this forum. People blames everything but themselves. "I cant get out of gold because of my teammates" , "I cant get out of gold because of hackers", "I am hardstuck Platinum because of controllers", "The system specifically targets me and boosts everyone else". And I know that is a all BS since I, most splits, have played AT LEAST 2 accounts from Gold 2-1 to AT LEAST Diamond 2-3 totally solo with randoms, and one other to Diamond 3-to-master with premades.
I understand that 100%, as I too have been around in many other games over my years that use a similar system. I don't claim to be a a great player at all, but I have played over 10k games, and have enough game sense to know when I'm playing with brand new players! We all start somewhere and I get that! But what I don't understand is why I CONSISTENTLY over and over again, got matched with BRAND NEW PLAYERS only after I was 1 win away from GOLD 3. I carried most of the wins on my way to GOLD but at least then, I did get teamed with more experienced players. I was doing most of the Damage and the downs consistently. I'm still doing most of the Damage and downs but I'm also now getting placed with Teammates that don't even know the map! Again that is my point! I'm not blaming the players! We all started somewhere! But to me if the HIDDEN MMR is to really be fair, then it has to take into consideration the PLAYERS EXPERIENCE! How many RANKED ARENA GAMES have they played! If they have only played 6, then they can't possibly even know the map we are playing on!
Against my better judgement, I decided to keep playing just to see how it works out from here. I am now almost back to SILVER 2 and I am still getting brand new players that don't know they can close the weapon selection menu! I'm losing 25 points with every loss and gaining 12 in the VERY OFF CHANCE we win! I would like some real feedback as to how the selection works and or really is supposed to work. There is no way, a level 500 player should be teamed up with a level 13 player! And more importantly, if it happens it should be on the rare occasion! But for some reason I am not getting this almost EVERY SINGLE GAME! It really makes me wonder, If i had won 1 game and made it GOLD 3, would this still have been the case? Was I really 1 win away for not being teamed with someone that has only played the game for a week or so. over and over again now? Why would any one believe if this is how they system works, that people will continue to play?
