If YOU, argue for the right to USE, STRIKE PACKS, you are perpetuating the PROBLEM.
If someone wants to have paddle buttons, they need to get a PRO Controller.
RESPAWN, NEED’s to develop a way to DETECT people, using these STRIKE PACKS.
My opinion is 100%, & NO-ONE can CHANGE, my Mind.

One of my big frustrations about Apex (aside from server & audio issues & general matchmaking) is when the devs feel the constant need to adjust recoil on weapons which always has me adjusting my aim settings if I want to use the affected weapons.Which does beg the question 'without using these anti-recoil controllers/mods is there such thing as a zero recoil setting in Apex using a standard controller?' as many of these youtubers claim there is.Believe me I've tried many different youtubers aim settings & none of them offer the zero recoil they claim.
As other people have mentioned working out various weapons different recoils is a skill in itself & can be a chore so these anti-recoil controllers/mods put themselves at a clear advantage by having a setting us mere mortal players cannot compete with. There are certain weapons like Havoc,Flatline etc I like using but have always had issues with their recoil & always tend to swap them for other weapons I can control better & feel have better recoil. But hey ho those players with zero recoil advantages will never have such issues.
I certainly don't believe in the old saying 'if you can't beat them join them!' but with the reluctance to do anything about it just seems many players have opted to 'join them' & use the same controller/mods & the advantages they have

I don't understand who you guys are arguing with. I see one somewhat recent post opining that if no macros are engaged, strike pack used a back button assembly is not cheating. That's a fair point, I guess. But I can certainly understand skepticism on that point, as availability of cheats is always one simple step away. I don't know the relative prices, but Sony back button assembly is only like $30, so at best,. using a strike pack for that is not a great look.
I'm not about to pore over this whole thread to see if someone was defending strike packs some months ago. Literally no one here is suggesting that the use of strike packs is OK. You're preaching to the choir.
- Eshshshss4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Redmattgame stop buying b-sh-t of Streamers. Most of their content is either "showing off" or selling your crap info.
I see this as those posts of "OMG loose weight in 7 days". The same is happening here - they are outright on the pinnacle of hacking = know all the latest tips and tricks, yet selling that as a skill.
Just look at these streams with this approach:
1. when streamers decided to land - freeze the stream, think what you would do, do you agree/disagree with the made decision, and why
2. look what streamers do - they usually have a set path like robots e.g. where they land, where they go, what they loot or leave behind (mainly related to weapons) = they basically repeat same thing all over again to be as fast as possible during looting. In my opinion not a skill to be honest, just a brainless execution which yes requires mechanical skill but we all can obtain that, most don't because it is just boring
3. see where they go and why, repeat same process as in point nr.1
4. finally see what wins fights for them - positioning, pushing or backing off etc.
My conclusion - in many cases their thought process is not genius, they usually do the same things over and over again, and most importantly the thing that leads them to win fights is crazy accuracy and good teamwork - they just do the basic laser and push in approach most of the time which in Apex you just can't beat, especially if the team that is pushing has mobile legends and/or tracking legends.- 4 years ago@Eshshshss My question was merely a rhetorical one not a one bourn from naivety. Believe me I'm old enough, wise enough (& ugly enough) to believe the BS that many of these Youtubers claim are 'perfect zero recoil settings'.It's probably a given that for every Youtubers 'perfect settings' is merely tweaked version of the real thing they actually use.Otherwise it would be like Coca-Cola revealing their own 'special' recipe to Pepsi & other rival manufacturers.
Aim settings are merely horses for causes for most of us,what may work for you probably won't work for me.everyone to their own.
I'm pretty sure like myself many players have experienced a barren spell in a shooter where aiming feels off or struggling to get kills & so tweaking/altering settings is often a solution. For the all the Youtuber settings' I've tried after testing it (with an open mind) on the Training Ground & 1 match later I've usually junked it & gone back to my own as it plays like garbage. But between trying out various settings I have finally found my own 'perfect settings' or rather one that works for me so it hasn't completely been a waste of time.- 4 years ago@Redmattgame "Aim settings are merely horses for causes for most of us, what may work for you probably won't work for me. everyone to their own"
I completely agree with you, it's not only different between players, if I use the same settings on a different controller it will feel off then I have to tweak the settings a little to make it right
