Technically you aren't wrong, but come on now . . you knew you were being a bit cheeky with the username. You had a good innings, now you have to find the next borderline name to use wont you?
I do think a warning and ultimatum to change the name should have been issued first though, I've seen blatantly offensive names before that deserved instantly banning though.
@PiabeticI really had no bad intetions with that gametag. I just like the name and the movie because it's so funny. Best thing about it is that like 100 people in-game said to me things like "woow dude, cool nickname" and things like that.
Yes, if only EA warned me, if they said anything, atleast a command like: " Change your gametag or we will ban you", I would do it.

I don't know if I really find CutThroat offensive either. The name you had wasn't offensive to me personally, It will be just because it had the word Gay in it. Really in some ways automatically assuming the word "gay" is being used negatively could be offensive to some right? Some people will be proud to be gay, and nothing wrong with that.
Gaylord might be a legitimate name, but the popular use of that word has long since taken on an offensive intent which the film makers knew of course, because otherwise his name wouldn't have been funny right?

I spoke to a team mate I had in a random game a little while back about his name, didn't report him but I was curious about how he got away with it and for how long. His name had a certain 4 letter word beginning with C in it followed by something like "punisher" or similar. He said he had it since he started playing ages ago. Figure that one out!
