Possibly, and maybe a small group would start to do it, but they would never be included in the sport with the general population. And if it picked up in numbers they would form their own sport or league.

@f9nbd8sgnp7l Apex as an esport isn't the same as any real sports league. There's no one paying them rights to broadcast. EA doesn't make direct money from the tournaments they sponsor. All these tournaments are just marketing. Who are they marketing to? Everyone that might play the game. This includes controller and mnk players so having some of both on the competitive stage is ideal.
Plenty of other games have had AA and tournaments for a long time. Halo and COD are two big ones. I expect the Finals will eventually, if it doesn't die. And that has actual aim snap from outside a player onto the player when a player ads. All of these games due it for the same reason. To reach and include more players.

EA won't do it, they'll lose millions. Just go lose at another game that doesn't have any AA. Cuz if you want to kill a free to play game that's exactly how you do it, by restricting it.- @DankToliet Lmao what a nonsense…

Look I'm not against aa personally, I know you need it but mnk does not in any way, so why mix it?
So you think reaching more players = more money = good (money that we don't see is good)? I see where you are headed with this and personally I think it falls flat.

Its a numbers game. EA is a stock company. If the devs make wrong decisions they lose their jobs.Devs show growing player numbers to top execs they can get more budget-> we get more stuff in the FREE TO PLAY game (we might not like all of it but we get it)
Devs show decrease in player numbers, they get layoffs and cutbacks -> we get more cheaters, worse servers etc.
Right now Apex is losing players like there is no tomorrow so I am really hoping the current event is financially successful.Also when discussing money what else is EA able to do in a free to play game to gain money besides push cosmetics?
Pay to win stuff? Monthly sub fee?

You have to have 0 and even below 0 happening in your life to even make such a thing relevant of any attention.
