Aim Assist with 500+ hours

Hallo everyone, My name in Munky and I have around 20,000 hours of competitive FPS experience (CS:1.6, CS:S, CS:GO, Overwatch, Valorant).

It seems to me that aim assist doesn't work with apex legends. Not much I can say here aside from that, I think it has all been said enough times.

Yet here I am, once again wondering why my friends are all slowly playing less and less apex, because when they do its constant deaths to a partial clip of just about any gun (or even watching my perspective and getting upset at what is happening to me) by players on Aim-Assist.

Do you now have enough experience aiming to do it without aim assist? When I first started playing games aiming was pretty difficult, but with time and practice I got better and now I can say I am good, but that didn't happen over night or by toggling a setting. You don't need aim assist, its incredibly unbalanced and ruins the competitive nature of the game. Why should players work on recoil control and micro adjustments when they just die to a random spray from Aim-Assist. Any sort of aim assistance does not belong in a player vs player environment. Especially when cross-play is involved.

Also if you are here to say but but but MOM tap-strafe. this isn't the place for you.

  • @hayhor This. Mnk is quite literally instant feedback. Toggle on controller is not. You have to go all the way back PAST the center point, before your aim even begins to go the opposite direction on a controller. With a mouse, there is not this issue. If you're looking right, as soon as you start to look left, it goes left. Any movement of the mouse is registered and applied. A controller toggle is based off the relationship to the center point (resting point), at all times. Aim assist is just an attempt to close the gap.
  • I'll tell you what's wrong in apex mouse and keyboard have so many advantages like move and loot, jitter aim, tap strafe and more buttons to keybind too.

Consoles and controller only real advantage is aim assist and it is not aimbot not even close. To me aim assist just slows down aim on an enemy well season 13 that's all it does. I'm trying right now to play with no AA and it's awful on mnk you can make little adjustment to remove recoil as u have your wrist for way more control.

Tell me ur thumbs have the same level of control ur wrist does on joysticks it doesn't and the point ur saying is stupid.

AA is needed as its cross platform and console have like nothing to help control recoil or aim firing range is useless be grateful u have aim labs.

For me I play and practice to try getting good results but I get nowhere. AA barely even helps and I cant even win and the time it takes for an average player like me to get there its impossible.

U keyboard and mouse users mainly pros like hal and idiots like u ruin the kbm community all u know is how to be a whiny * just accept u lost to controller I mean what do u expect if a pc player tap strafe a controller we cant turn that fast and we can die but yeah hate on us. Keyboard and mouse seem to always have a significant advantage and all u want is to be the best platform second another competes u call it op until it is nerfed into oblivion ull probably call mobile and switch op lmao

@TacticalSaviour  Whatever bs you talk is not gonna help.

If you are saying AA barely even helps, then it means you clearly have 0 knowledge about AA.

I can easily tell if I'm facing a controller or a pc player by their shots and guess what whenever I die ridiculously, its either a controller player or a cheater %100.

Even faced Timmy once and he didnt hit hard as AA.

What you complain about mnk players is irrelevant because guess what mnk doesn't get any kind of aim assist. You either land your shots or not without any HELP 🙂

These discussions will continue %100 until disable crossplay function comes back again. It should be mnk vs mnk and controller vs controller, easy.

@Yohimbay btw I'm all with you bro, until the judgement day ,)

  • @FB_NAYYSU What a complete BS take this is. You can tell every time you get shot if you are facing MnK or Controller lmao. And you face Timmy who doesn't hit as hard as some random controller player hahahaha. This just sounds so dumb. I one clip someone on a daily basis, not everyone but I am bound to do it to someone at some point. I wonder if that player I killed that one time in that one game is like, he's a b*** a** controller player, I know it. Instead of just being like, oh I got caugt out in the open, I used poor judgement, dude caught me by surprise etc. I was a good player on controller switched over to mouse and now I am an even better player with mouse. Certainly, I should just switch back to controller since it has all these magical qualities everyone seems to think plays the game for them and turns them into Timmy+ apex Gods.
  • I've played a lot of CS back in the days on MnK and I've been playing CoD, Fortnite and Apex on controller.  Aim assist does help, but I think overall MnK has more advantages.

@swift07 Considering all the ALGS players used PC with M&K and NOT PC with 'magic aim assist' Controllers, yeah, clearly the superior input is M&K.

But bad players with no introspection gotta blame something.

I at least knew I was bad when I played, and knew that the controller (for my carpal tunnel) was also holding me back, but my losses were my bad plays or positioning, not because the other player had a magic controller.

@Kyldenar Note: some algs PC players use controllers. It's actually pretty normal now to have one on a team with 2 mnk players. There are even 1 or 2 full controller teams and some full mnk teams.

I love how every pc player is arguing the fate of controller players. Aim assist can actually be a pain, because it prefers an enemy that is closer, and the closer they are the stronger it becomes, because controller players can’t turn in .2 seconds. So if a downed person crawls up right next to me, my aim is being dragged towards them, while the guy shooting at me gets a free kill. I am a controller player, I play on an Xbox, and have faced pc players before, they have some spin they we don’t have, it’s insane to see how easily they move, and how blocky I look to them.
