Permanently banning cheaters is a good thing.the problem is that no anti-cheat system is perfect, and Some people may receive a false ban and never be able to recover their account.I was also one of the users who received a false ban, and luckily,few days ago my ban was lifted.
but many people may not get the opportunity.
This is similar to the death Capital punishment.
There is no single right answer, and both sides have advantages and disadvantages. 
Strengthening anti-cheat is a good thing but at the same time must resolve false bans at the same time.
unfortunately, EA does not seem to have any intention of doing so. Someone might lie. However, false bans currently exist now. 

People think not existing unless they experience it themselves. this must be resolved first.
