Am I bad or are people really strike packing to the max?

I'm playing apex rn and it's lstar city and this guy beams me with the lstar from like 120 meters away and I check damage feed and he has all headshots. I Spectate him and his gun isn't moving his teammates are the same way. Am I just bad or is this just like a common thing in these pred lobbies?OR am I right to say this man's was cheating?

It's everything. Yes, there are a lot of cheaters in the game. Soft cheats, hard cheats, you name it. As any game ages you will also have the dynamic where casual players begin to leave for green pastures while the diehards just keep getting better and better, cheats or no cheats. Then you have the really good (or cheating) players using secondaries to get access to all the bad and average players who might be left. In the end it starts to feel as if every engagement is one where the enemy has a "kill button" and all they have to do is hit it and it's all over in a fraction of a second.

There was a time when I would have said that the only option for a game that had hit this stage of life was to leave for another, newer game. But these days new games can't even get out of beta without a documented (and often serious) cheating problem. That's how aggressive the cheat business is now.

    Wish I had better news.
  • @bokodlo1 So many cheaters. I just tried playing a couple matches of mix tape, and some of these guys just snap to your center mass and never budge from there.

The Lstar can absolutely destroy people at 120 meters, I do it quite frequently, but no way is it human to get all head shots while doing that.

@bokodlo1Don't worry, it's not just you. I can probably count on one hand the number of non cheater lobbies I've seen the last two seasons. It's very bad in mixtape and pubs especially, I'd say the least cheating I've seen this season has been in ranked, but the players in there are so good you need to practice a lot to get a kill so you still die just as much.

In pubs on pc it's near impossible to get one kill between the cheaters using rapid fire and aimbot, illegal movement, and bad hit reg. In mixtape most games are over so fast because a 3stack of cheaters comes in and takes the lobby over, ending the game in a few minutes, with all the same problems that occur in pubs.

What you'll notice with the L Star situation you mention is the cheaters guns fire much faster than our guns. This is because their cheats have configs where the gun will rapid fire, emptying out all of it's mag in the time most guns do just 1 or 2 bullets. (There are videos out there that post before and after shots in the firing range of the apex beam cheat, I can't post it here due to forum policies though) So they just go around blasting everyone in the head while doing fake movement that involves a key bind that presses the button 1,000 times per second.

As I've said in other threads I have a feeling the hit reg problem is probably caused by these cheaters since it is making the servers work harder, thus having a parasitic effect on them causing them to not register hits correctly. Someone told me that is a possibility, but I'm not sure if that's really how it works.

I just hope they get the cheater problem solved soon since it's really hurting the game, so many are leaving because of it. My cousin who just started apex a month ago quit since he said he got tired of all the enemies killing him in 1 or 2 shots yet none of his shots do any damage. He went back to Fortnite full-time. If they ever fix this I'm going to try to get him to come back. 🙂
