Anyone else mute right away when they get into a game?

I know it’s selfish of me and extremely lowers my teams chances of winning, but I literally have ran into hundreds of toxic players in this game, that its almost expected if I don’t mute.

so I’ve resorted to just muting right away for the past couple months and I gotta say, I enjoy not getting verbally abused for not rushing into 3 teams right off the drop with an RE-45 and an Eva 8.

Still got 40 wins this season while muting. Makes you wonder what could have been if people were decent human beings nowadays.

  • Yes, I insta mute.

Occasionally, I'll unmute if I see someone has a good listing or a dive trail, to see if they  are actually trying to communicate...this happens during the drop.  But I've never regretted insta muting first.

  • Always. Kids, people shouting, eating, TV/music, talking to someone else, someone with a baby crying, and of course people speaking some Lord of the Rings language, or shouting in a Lord of the Rings language. Can't even bother.

The only thing that seems to quiet the toxics is a banner that says, "I have more wins than you've had hot meals, so think twice before you say anything about my drop, my playstyle, my stratagies, or my willingness to leave you to die by your own ineptitude."
  • @Omega_Nes I mute off the bat too
It's super rare you'll get teammates that wants to use voice chat to make plays and communicate. The ping system is enough for me and I can just play around what my teammate does most of the time.
  • @Omega_Nes It depends. I'll mute if there is annoying background noise or stupid talk. But maybe I should start cuz many who have mics won't talk until they get downed or something else happens to them. Then they're being toxic a holes. 1 guy we had died in the 1st minute then tried to backseat game & say every decision we were making was stupid or questioning it. I finally came over the mic & said bro you died stfu. The other squadmate was dying via textchat. And he had 0 dmg which is even worse.
  • @Omega_Nes i think you can deactivate voice communication completely from the game options so you don't have to mute every single match.
all communications in and out will be off
I hope that will help 🙂

@maximas1986 You can, yeah. Used to have that setting applied, but sometimes I want them comms on nowadays, so I can tell some ***hat with loud music on why I'm leaving, etc..
