Apex hitboxes aren't that great themselves, mostly due to the netcode I heard people say.
Say what you will about Overwatch but I rarely had the problem that a shot that looked like it clearly hit didn't count at all. At worst something was/was not a headshot despite seeming to be the opposite.

Strange, for me it is the opposite.
And I can't count how many times an enemy killed me after I was already behind cover in OW.
