@MandatoryIDtag I understand completely.
But I don't think I wasted my time. I don't expect big businesses to stop making money. But it does seem like their approach alienates a lot of the "middle ground" players financially. The f2p players can reap the benefits of the new pack level progression system (which is incredible btw.) And the whales can shell out for whatever they want. But there is a center line value proposition missing here.
Take the battle pass for example. $10 and you can level it up completely, saving all your coin rewards along the way. By the time your done, you'll have enough for the next battle pass, but can only afford half a skin from the shop with the same coins?
Like I said, it's not a profit proposition, it's a balancing one. I also don't understand why you can use crafting metals to unlock whatever you want, but not apex coins. Would they not make more by allowing players to pick their purchase, instead of relying on an extremely small rotating shop?
As it stands now, each of the in game currencies serve a very specific purpose with no overlap. From my point of view it just devalues all of them.

@blkarmphoenix with regards to the legend tokens i do agree, there have been some real in depth ideas pop up in the past regarding better ways to use these, but alas all we've seen in terms of legend token usage is rerolls for the BP dailies.
I get that they want a clear difference between the 2 currencies but they could at least pull their finger out of their collective butt and make legend tokens more desirable.
