Apex Legends Hacks

There is a sizable increase in the number of individuals that hack in Apex Legends, and due to how obscure the reporting feature EA provides is, I am forced to make a thread such as this.

DISCLAIMER: Please follow the guidelines as this isn't meant to circumvent the Naming and Shaming rule of the forums.

That being said, this is intended to bring light to the types and frequencies of hacks seen being used in the game so that developers are aware of what to combat. If you see anything fishy about player behavior, describe the behavior that does not seem like a standard game mechanic; DO NOT DESCRIBE THE PLAYER EMOTIONALLY, JUST THE PHYSICAL BEHAVIOR. This specifically is not intended to provide a central hub for obtaining hacks, but for providing a direct segway for the developers to counter-code against the hacks. I cannot stress that fact enough as I personally have been playing games for over a decade and am upset with the reporting systems in place that are intended to do this very act.

For starters, I have seen players teleporting directly to high-tier loot locations (including an instance of multiple teleporting groups to the point they all hit the same spot and had a major fight). I have also seen the possibility of auto-aiming (likely to the head) and a threat detection spectrum beyond standard game features that penetrates walls.

Hey @Piefanatic555, I am not sure you mean by "how obscure the reporting feature is", if you are in game and suspect a user of cheating then please report them by following the steps in this link:  https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/apexlegends/contact/report/

We take all reports very seriously and will fully investigate.

It is also important to remember that just because something appears to be a little hard to believe does not make it cheating, there are some incredibly talented players out there who can snap to a headshot fast than 99.9% of other gamers and their sheer skill is just that. I've over 20 hours of Apex Legends played and I've not seen anyone I believe is cheating.

you're being very condescending and honestly naive in honestly believing there are no or few hackers with only 20 hours played. This game is crawling with the hackers because its a big game and took over much of the fortnite audience and its garbage.

  • Respawn/EA just needs to implement the same mechanics PUBG has when it comes to reporting people.

    Period.

  • I've played 88 and I've seen quite a few. Also used to play Quake 3 in GGL so I know the difference between a skilled player and some script kiddie.

dude report pepole dont work when do you guys get it ! REPORT is just somthing thay put in to lets us feel we are doing somthing about the cheating problem EA just need to say out loud that cheat is okay and thay dont care becorse if we all cheat the cheat is gone problem solved.

cheat made me stop playing cs and now i stoped playing apex its even worst than cs.

so EA just make it legal skilled cheaters will win over the cheating noobs prob solved gogogo you never gonna beat cheat with a program or a report botton enyways

  • For the ones being one shotted by people with blue helmets, you are getting ting head shotted by a kraeber most likely . There is no hacks to make people do more dmg. It is all on the weapons. As far as aimboy and teleporting etc. These things do happen in the game, and alot of the time it is very clear especially in the case of aimbotting. Pros miss shots all the time more then you would think. As far as wall hacks are concerned that's something you gotta watch the player after he's killed you to really confirm. People always scream bloody murder when they think they are in a spot that has no angle on them. This is simply not the case. I get mad when I lose all the time. But I don't call anyone cheating ever unless I realllllllly feel like something was strange then I'll watch him for a minute quickly most the time it's just a skilled player and I sucked.

  • Also remember that armor and helmet have nothing to do with each other. They wrok as two whole seprsepa systems

I'm not touching this game with a 10ft pole until they're gone. Not logging in to outplay 3 botters, then die to another one who was camping that seeks me out when I'm popping a cell, abusing walls. They're not skilled at all, they're pointing in a direction and holding leftclick, then the crosshair is magically aiming for them. Other players have to aim and lose positioning / movement by needing to focus on the target. All decent players miss shots, that's the point of playing fps's and that's how you can tell. But bots can just hold it down while running/sliding/jumping cause the program accounts for recoil, land every shot 100% accuracy. So yea.. its especially annoying and very obvious in Apex.

Last game I played was against a trio that camped runoff, waited for me to turn the corner and all three of them lasered me, facing the same direction. If you're dead quiet then get instantly lasered, you can bet they're just tracking you the entire time with walls.

And why do they get defended with no ban? We're all aware of them. It's evident they're all over the server.

  • The problem is EA cannot go through every single report.  They say they take all reports seriously, but there is no way that they are checking every single report.  Maybe they check the names that get multiple reports which would make sense, but I don't buy the nonsense that they are taking it seriously.
