Apex ranked griefing teammate

I wouldn't say system per se does not work, I know for sure that section about chat is monitored and punished quite fast, go slur someone via text chat and you will see 6 day ban will arrive within hours. Because it is probably automated, now working for sure not only for English language slur.

Rest of the sections probably end up in some massive inbox in 3rd world country where people are paid a few EUR per day to go through 1000s of such reports and basically have something like a guidline - if it is from category "smurfing" -> open ticket, close it, add template message "we will do something".

And people there probably have never seen Apex as a game nor do they care, they have their own life challenges and easily follow instructions that jeopardize the game for us who play it.

Maybe...just maybe there is some system that triggers manual review by competent person but yeah I have not seen that happen since day 1 playing. Almost like some legislation forced them to implement reporting system because at this state I would think that negative comments about current "available" system would match the negativity if there would be no system at all.
I remember they even added section about smurfing at some point telling that they will gather data and improve situation :) we know how that went.
Like what's the point, just remove it and be honest or show results, why these smoke and mirrors are needed?

The in-game reports doesn't work , I had a player who literally punched me the whole game , couldn't loot , couldn't stop or he'd punch me , ended losing the first fight because of him as well as ranked points so I reported him but nothing came of it ?

Can you comment on why when people do as you advise you can still see in trackers and if "lucky" even in game that player that clearly abuses the system is still playing? Meanwhile that is also usually confirmed by web form e.g. -> go to "my cases" -> usually case is marked "no solution" (or something similar) with template bla bla bla provided that EA will do their best to keep community in check...

I mean I still do it but honestly at this point to me it is more to annoy EA rather than expecting actual result.

In my imaginary world system would be used more often and properly if people would see logic, consequent actions taken, feedback provided (in both cases why action was taken, to confirm that person is reporting correct misdemeanor as well as when action is not taken, to understand for the future what not to report creating less time and effort spending for you and people themselves).
