Apex has become the least enjoyable BR I have played strictly because of ranked matchmaking. I understand that its a competitive playlist but its unplayable for a solo queuer. I am Diamond 1 with an .83 KDR for reference. I want to love Apex because it can be fun but the game is not made for solo queuers. Playing ranked is unbearable because if you play the game long enough, regardless of skill, you’ll gain enough RP to make it to platinum or diamond. Once you hit these ranks you’re thrown in with 3 stack predator teams that actually use their mics and communicate while all three having top tier mechanics and aim.Solo queuers are at an insane disadvantage because their random teammates dont use their mics 90% of the time and half the time are just running the map doing their own thing or ratting from zone one. I believe the easiest fix to make the game more appealing and bring new and old players to the game is to create the code and algorithms to queue 3 stack teams in ranked against each other and let solo queue random teams play against each other. For the sake of the game being enjoyable to the casual or competitive solo queuer there needs to be a fix to ranked matchmaking to help solos gain an equal playing field against the people they are playing. Pubs feel like they have no meaning so its also difficult to play a game for an extended period of time before getting bored and just not playing entirely.

I solo Qed to diamond then I kept getting the same teammates that were basically gold or silver player it felt like so I gave up on masters thus run

I always mute other players because 75% of the time they are toxic or have lots of loud, annoying background noise in the audio. We should be able be able to mute on/off other players in the game play, not just while we are picking legends. That way we could try to use the audio more often, knowing we can mute others if they are annoying.

@FRACTURDBUTWHOLE Yes solo has been a bit irritating this season. I was progressing well until I hit the Gold promotion trials. I didn't just hit a wall; it hit me! Every game a sweat fest with tms that are acting like they haven't been playing long. Going up against 4k & master badges. And all of a sudden I go from getting 3 kills/assts a game to being hopeful if I can get an assist!

what do you expect ? Its respawn, all you will hear is ... "we will look into it" and some update seasons later which makes it even worse than before.
Best thing they did this year was the event that brought us back the old Worlds Edge (minus the train ofc ...), the only time the game felt somewhat good again.

You play against 3 stacks, simply because at certain times of the day there are not enough players,
so they put a few preds 3 stacks to clean the lobby.
I would be happy if you could at least show me who is in my game.
I don't care about 2 random teammates even with 0 teamwork
everyone running at their own,and the game is a complete disaster, I still have fun.
but when it's me and a DUO, I can't, that ruins Ranked for me.

@r1ggedgameI accidently found a interview with the devs of Apex Legends, and they claim, they want the game to last for 20 years like counter strike. In this pace I am amazed if they are relevant at end of 2024.

@drevinum9 i also heard a statement which laid out plans for at least 10 years. but you have to take into account that a lot of those statements were made in the gold digger times during the lockdowns. if they can maintain the game until the next console generation (and dropping gpu prices) are established, there will be another influx of players out of southamerica/middle east and asia. we saw that with quite some shooter titles getting popular in those regions when hardware suitable to play gets more affordable

@Frosty20203 idk if you havent noticed , but there is a button if you go into the squad view, right next to the report button. there you can mute pings and voicechat for your teammates

@FRACTURDBUTWHOLE I wish for one thing only. Just make solo queuers lose less points and earn more. It will literally be a good enough fix so that it is enjoyable.If you get unlucky wiht the teamates than you just cant do *
