It is strange that the game freezes on an under-clocked 3090.
May I ask how much you under-clocked the card?
Otherwise, if it works for you it is fine. 👍
@holger1405 Yeah I thought so too, it happened on Battlefront 2 also just at the menu lol.
It was after following this guide to undervolt by 200 MHz

I could probably decrease it and keep experimenting, but it only knocks a few degrees off the temperature which is already at a good value.
Yeah I thought the same; usually it's been stable after I've done the usuals, but just wanted to target the scenarios where it can still happen for some reason, because precious RP is lost! 😉 Though it is only once or twice a month now it seems.
