I'm heavly invested in the game and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. Like they said if you want to see the story unfold, you need to play and stay tuned. Because you'll never experience it in game again.
I feel sort of bad for the people just starting the game now.
Sure they can go to you tube and watch it. If they never picked up Apex legends until season 2.and later they will never know / experience the KC map with bridges or cascade, will never experience the flyer pre season flying around then leaving etc.
they would never experience everything in season 1 and pre season one if they didn't start playing until season 3. as well as the legendary hunt event, Iron crown event, void walker event, the old level cap, Octane's town takeover event etc. If they didn't start playing until season 3 and later.
As the game goes on and season's pass more people will migrate to the game or come back and may miss a few season's. may not know what's happening in theApex legends universe and how apex Legends is tying in with TitanFall universe since it's in the same universe.
Apex still needs around 160Million away to reach Fortnite number's. So there is still a big chuck of people that haven't played or even came back to apex legends in a while.

I feel the similar about this game haha, it's a real love/hate kinda game. XD
Hoping this season onwards respawn really get their act together and work on actually improving the gameplay quality rather than just feebly trying to crowd please with more skins as @apostolateofDOOM pointed out 😛
