I am currently world's number 8 best Apex player according to Apextabs. This rating system is a joke! I'm all down for a 3rd party stat tracker/stat api. But you really need to work on your rating/skill variable. The current system in place calculates skill based on dividing total amount of kills by matches played. get 200 kills and 20 matches played and your rating will be top 10 no matter what. And to make things even worse, I managed to do that as a level 11. Remove the "skill rating" rating variable or make a better one, this is just painfully bad!

There are certainly going to be issues that need need attention. Especially given that there is no public facing, official, API available. They are working with the tools that they have available to them and providing you with a service for free because they have a passion for gaming and development.Please consider that they are implementing a version of Elo Rating System."Performance is not measured absolutely; it is inferred from wins, losses, and draws against other players."Though in a game like Apex Legends, you cannot simply compare players based on wins alone. There are other skill factors involved in what makes a player "great". It seems to me that they are attempting to create a system that factors in Legend performance on top of just strictly winning.Sure, their approach to Elo may be flawed currently... but it's still new. I have no doubt that the team behind ApexTab is always looking to improve their product.So rather than just taking a giant s*** on them in a forum that isn't even specifically for ApexTab, maybe submit a suggestion for how they can improve their system in a professional way. They have a contact page, you could even help them improve their API by interacting with them via their GitHub repo.Perhaps once there is official API access, we can have a true ranking system that includes many factors. Maybe something that involves damage, kills, amount of times you were knocked, killed, and respawned. All of those factors paint a clear picture of your proficiency on a particular Legend. We'll see how things go as this game grows.I am not suggesting that you are wrong for suggesting changes, but maybe you could alter your approach and you might find them more receptive to your input and that could result in a better experience for everyone.Sorry for the long post, everyone.

@MartenPhilip I still don’t see a problem with rating yes it can be fudged with by leaving games but most games you can fudge your stats I have never really cared about stats because most games they are denpendent on how much you play so none of them are really a good leaderboard based on skill Moral of the story if you are going to complain about this rating system you need to complain about all of them since the beginning of time or just keep fudging it so you stay in the top 10

There are no working 3rd party stats trackers because Respawn doesn't offer any tracker api and doesn't release the stats in any other way.
You should first ask for them to actually release any stats before complaining about 3rd party trackers being bad.

Not sure where you're getting rank 8 from. It clearly shows your global rank of #36565. I mean, you have 8 profile visits, maybe you mistook the 2 numbers?

Elo is suppose to be skill ranking and his elo has him at 8
but honestly why why would anyone be bothered by this if you are averageing 10 kills a game you probably should be in the top 100 players I rarely get to 10 kills and there are people that have never gotten 10 kills in a game so to average it you are doing something right but beware the noobs on this forum like calling people cheatera

@Biochemikas they are bad, they made their own rating system based on matches played and total kills which is stupid as it's aboput winnign the game as the last squad standing not who gets most kills in the least amount of played matches.

So your point is rather invalid.

@neillkorey the point I am trying to make across is that the current rating system ApexTab is using can be abused. You can literally calculate your way in to a top skillrating placement. And that is what I did.

You don't even have to finish any match in order to achieve it.
You can get 15 kills and leave before it ends to keep your matches played at a minimum. as it's 200 / 20 = 10 and a 10 is required to get a 5 star rating. of 10,000.

It's silly and it is in no way accurate or an legitimate tool to describe some's skill level.

I have no worries about my rating afterall I am nr 8.

This is one of the few api's there are.
Even being the popular one and people literally use it as a frame reference to their "skill".

This post is just a reminder that ApexTab is a joke and shouldn't be taken seriously.

I don't know why the majority is reacting butthurt to this topic, thinking I'm here to boast.

Get your acts together this is just embarrassing yourselves..
