I get what you are saying, I've only been playing Apex Legends a little over a month, so I'm still a newbie, but when I play I always go in knowing I'm about to lose. I mostly only do no fill duos or death match unless it's with my brother that plays with me.
I stopped doing trios because of the toxicity. Even in team death match we won, yet one guy told me I was garbage and to go kill myself, etc just because I only got one kill and two assists the whole time.
I too wish they had a PvE mode, or maybe a permanent mode like the orientation matches with bot teams so people can practice in a less stressful environment.
The only losing I hate is the phony crap where someone with a modified game pressed enter and you just happened to be on their screen, or someone runs at you without taking cover, those are my pet peeves and get me angry, and I find I have to take a break.
I find this game addicting even when you play to hide and outlast others instead of playing to kill everyone else and win, hahaha.
The bad thing about taking breaks from this game is you can lose your skills without practice, so in that respect it's a hard decision to make.
