That's good to accept and expect to lose most games. Your team mates chances are always thinking they'll win every game and look to blame the nearest person. Being told to kill yourself, that's not nice. What is wrong with people. But people like that get nowhere in life, so that's my justice.
PvE could make me come back if it isn't a time limited mode. I suspect EA don't like too many game modes, not because it splits match making pool as there is already such a massive player count anyway. I think because it adds additional server overhead to maintain queues for different game modes. They would rather just have simple server setup to throw everyone into BR mode.
Do you know another way to play the game? Find a charge rifle, stack ammo, choose escape character like Valkyrie. Has super good Ult for escape. Now keep your iron sights and you can still poke enemies to annoy them, they'll come after you, they'll even get frustrated. Then run away, repeat. It's hell fun. You don't get kills, but you'll get damage and good laugh. It also fits in what you said, outlast others. Now if they simply made my team mates footsteps silent. Nothing can catch me off guard if playing this way.
Yes, probably with long breaks is not that you lose all your skills. It is when they start introducing new things to re-balance like changing ammo type for a weapon. Nerfs and buffs you have to catch up reading on.

The ultimate solo player's blueprint for Apex Legends. Poke 'em & run. I hope they chase me. I likes it when they chase me.

I like many of the comments in this thread. As for solo poke'em and run, when I find myself solo bc my teammates run off or quit, I turn to sniping from a distance. If the stars align well, i can rack up a lot of damage as the teams are focused on each other bc they are so close to each other and see each other as their primary threat.
My only input to this discussion is I just don't get why someone will join a team in trios just to run off ahead... so far ahead that it isn't worth trying to keep up,you find yourself just running and running, eventually into an ambush.
Once I didn't follow him, and eventually he came back to where I was bc I was in a late ring and we worked well together. But I just don't get why they run off ahead so far ahead. I can't imagine what is running through their minds.- reconzero3 years agoSeasoned Ace@MrGreenWithAGun

Well, first: it's not a team game by MY choice. It's a team game says Respawn. I would prefer a solo mode. Until it comes I play trios and I don't no-fill because then I would be denying my squadmates the learning experience. Mostly learning how to survive in trios on a two man squad, but if I can do it solo then they can do it in pairs. Or not mostly, as it turns out.
The reason I abandon them on the drop is because they are mostly looking for a quick gun fight. The reason I don't seek them out after the drop, assuming they survive, is because I'm playing position. The reason it's so hard to keep up with me, on one of the rare times they even try, is because my rotations are long, convoluted, and timed to the last possible second to get me 3/5ths of the way around the outside edge of the map while providing the best and safest possible looting routes. It's a ballet. Most people just want to drop hot, and if they win the first fight then they move on the shortest possible line to the circle no matter what hot spot that dumps them in. I just don't have the stomach for that kind of play.
One thing I seldom do though is run into an ambush. Almost never. And Valk has a built in got-out-of-jail-free card. And I am NOT too proud to use it.
I know I'm not really the player you were talking about, but I sure do look a lot like him so I thought an explanation might be in order.
