Well it finally happened.... after seeing all these people say they are legit and getting banned for "gameplay enhancement" I am now one of those people. I can sit here and talk about how I'm legit and never used anything but until it actually happens to you its hard to think that there are this many false positives. Crossing my fingers that the appeal process works but not holding my breath.
This is normal.
Firstly, EA's anti-cheat and ban appeal processes are now handled by AI. This means that regardless of whether you actually cheated, if the AI deems your behavior "abnormal," it will automatically ban you.
As for appeals, the same AI reviews them. It doesn't look at the evidence or content you provide; it determines whether it was a wrongful ban. My roommate was banned for cheating in 2023 and finally received an unban email in 2026 informing him that his ban had ended. A normal cheating ban should be permanent, but obviously EA won't admit to wrongly banning players, so most unban emails simply tell you "the ban has ended."
PS: The reason I say the review is done by AI and not by real people is because my roommate's last few appeal emails were just him blaming EA without providing any other evidence, yet he was still unbanned.
PSS: Because EA was acquired and is laying off staff, the TOS department is practically deserted. To save time, EA will now close your appeal channel if your account has more than 10 appeals. In addition to the first two appeal emails, which may take more than a day (with a very small chance that a real person will be reading them), you can even see that you automatically receive a rejection email less than 30 minutes after submitting the appeal for subsequent appeals.
I am also one of those whose account was suspended for the same reason.
The management will not do their job properly, and you will waste several days.
Same thing happened to me, I have submitted multiple appeals but nothing but denials and AI generated responses. Good luck mate but I don't thing there is much hope.
This is getting crazy. Well it sucks and I'm sorry you got stuck with the rest of us. But maybe the more and more we get they will pay attention. We'll see. But they are doing more damage then they realize. Ppl are not gonna spend their hard earned money on something that can be taken from you, with no real humans speak with, with an open dialogue. I'd be terrified to spend another dime.
