Battle Pass weapon skin reworks

I'll just post it cause someone will sooner or later...

With the current "discussion" going on over at https://twitter.com/Respawn/status/1570826818080632833?s=20&t=l6HcXTvp8XQhWOan_Weqyw I wish to highlight the fact that people have purchased the battle pass for some of these skins specifically.
They spent money on in game currency specifically so they could get that item. Now, if Respawn are altering those skins after that transaction, is that right?
Will all weapons now be subject to change due to some people complaining/aren't long time players to have obtained the item?
Some people "perceiving" an advantage of an item they do not own, forcing a change of that item of a long term, loyal player. If anything they should not modify it as a reward for a players loyalty.
But i'm getting off point, where does this stop?

What will next be deemed an advantage? Having a character with a smaller hit box unlocked? A skin that alters how discernible a legend is against certain backgrounds?

Nerfs and buffs for balance are one thing, but when you change something that had a financial barrier and time sink to obtain, thats a bit too far.

Now we await the flaming.

  • That thread seems to be more focused around the possible upcoming firing range changes and the Flatline skins, whereas I am focusing on the entire scope of weapons within Apex Legends that will be affected by these changes.
It didn't feel right to reply to that post as I don't believe they have the same focus of discussion.

@DethMetalMilkMan They can do this, and it is perfectly within reason. Think of it like a product recall, they original was flawed, so they took it back and gave you a new one, sure you went to the grocery store and got that specific product, but if there is something wrong with the product, it then needs fixing. I would in fact like to see more attentive fixes like these in the future, as it shows respawn does actively care about the health of the game, and are doing their best to make it fair. Best wishes and happy gaming!

@BigMacAttack8u there's been nothing wrong with the product for 9 seasons. I think your recall analogy is incorrect. For starters it's up to the customer to avail of the recall.

  • Some other games where the battlepasses are better than Apex’s. Respawn might want to learn a thing or two.

    1. Halo Infinite: you can finish the battlepass even after the season ends.

2 Overwatch 2: includes 5 legendary skins and 1 mythic skin that you can customize.

@BigMacAttack8u So you wouldn't mind buying a brand new computer just to run Windows 11 on it. Then Microsoft forces you to regress to Windows 95 because some people didn't like Windows 11? You'd have no problem with that right?
  • @Cheese9Mani am still in love with how warframe uses cosmetics, you can customize every single inch of your weapon and player skin.
i am 100% sure that you will never see two players with the same skin color pattern or looks ( unless if two completely new players meet who didn't do customization.
with apex you might run into 5 players with the same exact skin at the same moment.
but no worries, apex will give us a weapon sticker later so we can pay money for it.
I don't know if you remember when COD black ops had this kind of stuff (FOR FREE) and I am sure it is still better than whatever Respawn will ever implement.
yes, Apex is free but COD used to cost 60 USD tops and was better in every single aspect.
the video editing feature which was (IN GAME) can compete with the best video editing software in the market at this moment.
