Can anyone explain the CONSTANT Containment/Cage drop in WC?

I guess there may have been a time, like on the drawing board, where Wildcard made sense. But as always, hand something over to actual players and they make of it what they will. And what they make of Wildcard is a Wild West shootout where it doesn't matter if you die, or even how many times you die, because death has no consequences. So all they want to do is shoot and be shot at. Forever. Until the end of time. That's why they all drop in the same two or three places in every single match. Honestly, how else are you gonna farm your 20 bomb in a match with only 30 players?

I sympathize. I play Wildcard just like I play trios. The upside for me is that when I solo drop on the opposite side of the map from my squadmates... they don't care. Unlike trios, where they quit as soon as they're downed. I'd like to think they comprehend the wisdom behind me dropping away from them, but that's giving way too much credit to people who have all the self-awareness, and game-awareness, of a child in a candy store. It's actually kind of embarrassing except that, of course, it's the internet and no one cares how badly they behave as long as no one knows who they really are.
