Can someone explain to me how strafing works?
I noticed lately that some people are able to strafe really fast while ADS other times I noticed that they move really slow.

SMGs and Pistols have faster strafr speeds.
Wraith also appears to have double strafe speed.
For me 80% of Wraiths seem to strafe faster than a Stimmed Octane. That it can actually look like 2 wraiths on screen.
Dunno if its an exploit or the character is just shamelessly overpowered and devs cba to fix.

@1ronKeysWraith has the best overall movement in the game that combined with her tiny hit box make strafing highly effective. Octane is a close second IMO when he uses the stim. The bigger legends do not strafe as effectively because they are 1. a bigger target and 2. they get stuck on buildings/map terrain much more frequently. I can't tell you how many times I have died as caustic because his big hit box gets caught up on a door or box or something.
Guns, the sights being used and whether or not they are aiming or hip firing can all play a part in it.
In CQC I am all over the place in terms of movement. I also toggle in and out of aim and hip fire. I have noticed it all combined together can be very overwhelming for enemies, especially if I'm landing my shots.- @DarthValtrex I mainly use x1 and sometimes x2 sights. I don't know it just feels awkward for me to track them down sometimes other times I track really well. Idk if the slow mechanics in this game is helping me those times.
- @Daze623 Depends how frequently they spam the buttons too. Short strafes are faster, while long strafes are slower. Perhaps that's what you are referring to.
- @DarthValtrex No i understand all tbat but never do i see any legend strafe with equivalent of sprint speed teleporting side to side with no slowdown like wraiths do.
Character needs fixinf/nerfing whatever. Cause it is very bs
