Can someone explain to me why cross-progression is impossible???

No one can seem to explain and it’s driving me wild.

  • @MoozOfDoomz the only explanation is that the developers have said that they're not going to implement cross-progression, and that's all really. This article from last month is most recent.

    https://www.gamepur.com/guides/will-apex-legends-have-cross-progression

"The concept for cross-progression will continue to not be available in Apex Legends, regardless if you use the same account on a different platform...It’s unlikely Respawn will make it an option it explores because it has stated in the past that this will not be something available to players."

As for the why, I don't know really. It could be because they're focused on other things, it could be that it causes massive instability of the client and possible deletion of all personal data, it might create game-breaking bugs, who knows really.

  • @pastaclown  They initially stated that it was due to how the game was developed at an early stage.

It was a super vague reason and really not good an explanation lol. XD

@GH0STEDbyME bruh everything that comes out of their mouths is a cop-out when it comes to community requests. They've just taken a, "We know best" stance on everything and don't want to admit they made mistakes.

@pastaclown This is an assumption on my part. But making the data cross over can be extremely complex. It might seem straightforward, but it can get complicated fast. You have different OS and getting that stuff to cross over can be difficult.

I know when I updated my point of sale software from Super dos to Windows in the early 2000’s. It was an absolute nightmare. You could not transfer any of the data. I had to sit there and create entirely new sales windows, manually creating every item and up charge individually. It was thousands of items.

Once I had that set up, I had to create new accounts for every customer on the windows system. Then i had to go through the store and re-write every single ticket/order in the store and give each order a new location. It took me and 4 employees about 16 hours to do. That was for a small business? Imagine trying to do that with a game that has millions of accounts..
