The amount of games where I am mown down in literally a quarter of a second is worrying, I am an older gamer and struggling with Apex. The amount of times either early, mid or late game that an enemy targets me then before I can even react my sometimes even purple armour and health are gone in less than a heartbeat.
I just dont understand when it takes me AGES of constant hitting of someone to even get a kill my side.
is it the game or me?
I'm not saying this is why in this instance you are dying so quick but sometimes it isn't obvious who and how many are shooting at you.
Decent teams will coordinate who they are aiming their focus at and 3 people shooting at 1 will down them almost instantly. In this situation if you are the one out in open or looting a box then you're prime target. Therefore positioning is everything and also on point communication.

Apex is the first twitch game I have played for a while, at least where I am noticing how crap I am at aiming.
I have Fibre, but moved house recently so only on 20mbs now instead of my old house at 80mbs. My ping is always good. I have the game running at a constant 55 fps or more, my CPU is an overclocked i5 8700 so is really good but my old radon 460 may need to be upgraded.
I will try some of your suggestions but I may need to finally admit I am just not good enough anymore at these sorts of games.
Shame as I really like Apex, not had a FPS game grip me since planetside 1 & 2, and BF2 / BF2142 / BC2 where I used to shred =D

There are some really good players out there, I am only silver 3 in ranked, was watching some guy in the top tier on twitch the other night, blew me away.
