They are working on their game constantly and putting out LTM to see how the feedback is and how it works with the game.
When solo/duo was added, players would constantly team up. Is that what you want? 2-3 solo players ganging up on you? I'm sure it will come eventually but they need to focus on other issues as well. Like sound and their servers

Like sound and their serversI can't really get behind this argument tho, they know very well that solo's and duo's event was loved and still is the most requested feature to be added. And teaming andy's are also in squads games, absolutely no reason to not add solo's duo's.
Why would Apex be the one game where teamers is so problematic solo's can't be in the game as opposed to every other game where it's fine?
I'm yet to run into a single teaming duo in fortnite, and I've been playing a lot. It only happened once to me in Apex. It's not a big deal.
Besides, in "squads" you're fighting 1v3 the majority of the time anyway. 1v2 in solo's doesn't sound so bad in comparison. Especially since they can friendly fire each other.
- 6 years ago@Wingmannedbro I'm not sure what other games do to avoid this but I do know Apex is easier to get into the same lobby as your friends.
A simple countdown and everyone presses ready will send you all 85% of the time into the same lobby. I myself kept doing this during solos so that me and my friend could 1v1 final circle.
It's also not just about those issues, I'm sure they have to consider how certain Legends and their abilities would be useless in those modes and I'm sure they don't want to go down a path where they begin to focus mainly on legends that excel in solos in order to bring them to balance with everyone else while not affecting the normal trios, because honestly that sounds like a pain and extra work that would constantly need to be tweaked.
Don't get me wrong, I want solos/duos as well and would find it fun and amusing but not so much if it kept track of stats because of how certain legends would clearly give an advantage over others meaning you would be taking a risk on your stats if you choose someone like Crypto or Wattson.
Seems like they need more feedback on it if anything because the only feedback I remember people saying is how this legend is broke or that legend is and the basic, "yea man, this mode needs to stay permanently!" but nothing beyond that.- 6 years ago

The prerogative is to be running an enjoyable game, not to make literally every person play completely nice and fair. People who team in lobbies is not something that dictates game design, never has done so, and never should be.
And legend balance is a non issue. Not specific to solo's whatsoever. The same risk to stats is what you also have picking crypto in squads.
They don't need to change anything at all for solo's other than what they did in iron crown, remove knockdown shields and respawn beacons, and presto. It's done.
It's just a casual non ranked game mode in case someone can't be asked to play with randoms. "Balance" in video games in general is a joke of a concept in the first place. I'm so surprised you or anyone for that matter believes that adding solo's would bring forth all manner of complications.
It was in the game, and none of the doomsday talk was ever the case. It worked fine, it can be done.
- 6 years ago@iBlockHead Oh, clever answer, go everyone to Fornite and you will have to wait for hours in matchmaking. More players is better, for EA, for Respawn, and for the matchmaking. Stupid answer from stupid person.

@koywe With all due respect, suggesting that somebody play a game that does offer the game mode they desire isn't stupid, it's actually perfectly logical.
At no point did he tell the dude to quit playing apex, people are capable of playing more than just one game.
- 6 years ago@MandatoryIDtag To be honest, I will never, ever play Fortnite. I played it once, I don't like it very much.
