@CaptWrekAlyfeYeah but Hal said no 🤣 You see all these guys complaining but I watched Rogue (of NRG) play in the ALGS tournament as Caustic.
@GH0STEDbyME Almost every competitive team uses Caustic, even in ranked. I really don't understand this continuous begging for a buff when clearly he's a top tier legend now. Before asking for a buff people needs to make sure they use legends properly, and seeing this makes me think most of them are not making good use of him.
@Cro_Pittthi friend, there are two things to consider:
1. Tournament play and pro meta is kinda different than casual/ranked, you won’t see too many Watson’s in casual/ranked for instance and their style of the play is different. Team structure, experience, and type of playing in tournaments can’t be compared with casual, bronze, silver, etc players (which are 80% of the population, judging by number of people in each rank, in previous seasons)
2. Every legend deserves to have a passive+tactical+ultimate which is unique to him and help him in the game, caustic vision in nox is similar to horizon vision in her ultimate, also now everyone can see in the gas, his passive is not a unique or useful ability to be fair. Compare with lifeline, gibby, fuse, etc
@Alphabets The mechanics of the game are always the same regardless of the mode you're playing. Bronze, pubs, Predator, it's still the same game with just a difference of skill. Of course in pubs people do not pay attention to details and a lot of people does not get better because of that.
As for Caustic, again, he's still a very strong legend and yeah his passive got slightly nerfed but gas damage got buffed as well and trust me it is not a minor change.
Tournaments or not, if he was bad then nobody would pick him even for ranked.
P.S. if you like to push people and have an aggressive style then Caustic is not the right pick unless you have a combo that lets you do it, just like Octane is not fitted for passive play. So it also depends on your team.
