Can't Pick Up My Cover (Rampart)

Is anyone else having this issue? I just tried to play Rampart today, for a challenge and I can't pick up my cover. The button prompt shows up, but when I press it, nothing happens. But, the button itself is working fine (I can throw holos and do other character actions, no problem)

    @JonStriker126 in arena? In Arena you can't pack it up, that's intentional. It was fine I played couple of days ago in BR. But I can't confirm it with BR right now.

    Really? Because I was able to pick it up before. And also pick up things like Caustic traps and all that. I even noticed you can't "charge" the Sentinel with Cells now.

    I remember being able to do all this in Arena, when it first came out. Was that just not intentional and it got patched out since I last tried it or something? If so, that kind of sucks. And, honestly, if I can't do something in the game, then it shouldn't prompt me for it. Kind of ridiculous.

    Lolz you don’t actually think respawn will put in the effort to even put up a notice saying “these are the changes between ‘Arenas’ and ‘Battle Royale’ side revolving around legends and mechanics right... if so... do you actually think they will shift mechanics where in one game where you can do one thing like say pick up rampart covers, that they will not have that feature even pop up in the other?! This is the same dev team that didn’t include patch notes in advance of an update and leaves stuff broken for far too long! Heck, one of the game’s main ‘selling points’ and most memorable feature doesn’t even properly work in Arenas most of the time; pinging stuff xD.

    If it’s really an intended feature that you can’t pick up cover, charge sentinel and such, they’ll likely leave everything as is with the prompt, cause if they fix that for the 2 modes, you can bet ure hiney that a cool new bug wil pop up xD

    Honestly, this all kind of sucks. Apex is starting to feel like a Bethesda game (just a crap load of jank and bugs).

    And, because you never quite know with Respawn's design philosophies, a lot of the time you get to play the "Is it a feature or a bug?" game.

    Seriously. It's like, not being able to ping in Arena seems to be a bug, as it works... Sometimes. But, doing things like not being able to charge a Sentinel or pick up Amp Cover is apparently a feature. Though, nowhere did I officially see that you can't do that in the patch notes or on a Tweet or something.

    And what makes it worse is I *was* able to do those things at launch. So, were those times bugs, and now those bugs are fixed? Or was being able to do those things once a feature, and then has since been removed with one of the patches, but not talked about?

    Honestly, this stuff is beyond frustrating. It's like, If I'm supposed to be able to do the stuff in the mode, then let me do it. And, if I'm not, then take away the prompts for it, because they're useless and just take up space.

    I swear, man, it's always something with this game. It's a bug, or it's poor matchmaking, or its audio issues, or whatever. Jesus...

    @JonStriker126 Exactly and that’s why Respawn is the casino Apex as a whole a busy-with-ppl shifting showfloor which you have to stop in order to play a casino game (which already requires some luck to get into). All different modes are different casino games and the actual in-games are like playing a casino game. Most revolve around luck... but odds are stacked against you as you don’t know what you’ll be getting/facing.

    My word this is actually a cool analogy... it’s so fitting xD. Right down to the loot boxes that are ‘mystery prices’ in casinos xD.

    @JonStriker126 I thought I was the only one with the "no sound on ping" bug in arenas. Guess not. I grab all the shields from the crate, take them to where my team is, drop some and ping them, and... no ping. -silent ping - silent ping - SILENT PINGSILENT PINGSILENT PINGSILENT PING ... give up and type "Guys, grab these shields" and then die to a sniper from across the map because can't strafe while typing ... ah, Apex, my cruel mistress. I feel like one of those abused mates who are like "It can change... it just needs more support... it's my fault...if only my aim were better, then it would love me."

    i’m pretty sure bad servers and bugs are actually features they added because they would have been removed a long time ago if it wasn’t intentional
