- @justinjj94 You can get the heirloom in any pack up to 500. You dont have to open 500. And if you do as you say and dont buy any packs you cannot complain as the game is free for you.
- @justinjj94 You get about 199 packs free from lvl1-500.
Another 5-9 from battle passes which only cost $10 the first time
We're in season 3 soooo assume 8 packs from each (maybe more idk)
223 Packs
Each pack is about 100 Apex coins, Season pass gives you about 900+. So that's another 27
250 Packs now, half way to 500!
More seasons to come so with Coins and packs together thats about 25 more each season.
If you are REALLLLYYYY that stingy with money, you can try to wait out 10 more seasons (If they plan on that) and you would hit that 500 with a guaranteed heirloom! Which would prob mean nothing as more come out and other games take over or a new Apex comes out.
Can you really not cough up $5-$10? They even offer nice bundle deals where you get more coins than what you paid for.
Can't expect everything to be free chief, this ain't Rainbow. - @justinjj94 You’re talking about a cosmetic that does nothing for you which can increase revenue for them and they already offering you free packs that you can get it from but still you want them to be more generous?! This is besides the point that your whole message is already inaccurate since you can get it anywhere from 1-500 packs and not on the 500th pack per se.
Talk about being money greedy... - @justinjj94 The simple solution is to just refuse to spend the money. You have the right idea that its a money grab. The skins are overrated anyway.
We should all refuse lootboxes untill we get a proper store where you know what you are buying. - @Koochi-Q Get over yourself, some of you guys make it sound like games companys are almost working Charity. The truth is they are making * loads of cash. Its just that they always want ALL the money in the world, or more accurate the investors and shareholders want all the money in the world.
- @chrisragnar @Koochi-Q does have a point though... they literally give no in game advantage. It's kinda like complaining that the $500 shoes are so expensive, instead of going with the $5 ones, which both do the exact same thing.
- @chrisragnar I think you should get over yourself. "The simple solution is to just refuse to spend the money", you think anyone's gonna actually do that. Wait, allow me to re-state that, you think enough people are gonna do that for EA/Respawn to take action? Nope.
If you want to own cosmetic pieces of pixel that basically do nothing for you that someone in an office made who had to get paid, you better shell out for it. Don't want it? don't buy it. Want a discount, wait for it. Don't do the 'the price is too high, I'll boycot till they lower the price' remark, because no one cares other than other 'boycotters' who in the end will still buy it full price or start whining about it taking too long for a price drop.
I never made it sound like they're working a charity. They have a business to uphold, yes, but they made lots of turnover already. Despite that, people who want handouts over free stuff just because they want something that has a small percentage of actually getting achieved without spendature need to smell the coffee and bite down lemons to get a sour reality check.
@CrazyPlays54, exactly 😉 - @Koochi-Q My point is lootboxes are bad for consumers. If you could actualy just pay for what you want they would have to make better looking cosmetics and more variety. Att this point they just make one or two passable skinns and the rest just hot garbage to fill out the loot tables. Warframe, arguable one of the most sucsessfull free to plays have always just hade a store. Then there is the issue with gambling adictions, and pere preassure. Most people who end up spending 500 dollars on a wraith skin will att some point regret it.
Tldr is that lootboxes gotta go and anyone that thinks companys need them to get by is just fooling themselfs. @CrazyPlays54companys like to use Peer preassure to make owning skins the norm, exploiting kids and people with gambling addiction. My point is there is not reason a companys should have lootboxes in their game. Its very consumer unfriendly and dangerous.
- @chrisragnar I'm good with buying what you want but the OP stated something that is incorrect.
