- @ooootoxicooooo rotate. you're looting too long. Nobody wants to wait for all the teams to safely get in zone after looting the outskirts of the map.
- @ooootoxicooooo Pay attention to what side of the zone you are on relative to the next. If you are on the larger side, meaning the side furthest from the next zone it will move faster. Always try to position for the short side.
I have a problem with this myself, but it is because I am not quite able to simultaneously process all of the data that is required for success in this game. So, I am able to sympathize with your issue.
I count on the people who I play with, who have better awareness than I, to be in charge of this aspect of the game. Fortunately for me, I only play BR when one of my friends is available, I do not solo queue. I realize that not everyone has this option available to them. @hayhor gives excellent advice above. The zone is fairly predictable if one is able to pay sufficient attention to it.

@ooootoxicooooo
Not to minimize your frustration, but the current ring speed is nothing compared to season... which was it? Season 14 or 15? When they dialed it up so fast that if you did an edge drop and got the wrong side of the next circle then you just plain quit the match and re-queued. You could make it if you ran like hell, but you'd end up just inside the circle in a hell hole of enemies with no loot whatsoever. THAT was a disaster.
As it is now, it's just a matter of learning the timing. There's almost no rotation on any map that isn't realistically do-able. @reconzero
Those were crazy times! One was pretty much forced to avoid edge POIs for the reasons you describe. There should be sufficient time during the first round of the game to loot up at least decently, take a fight, and still be able to rotate with the zone.- CCbathwater2 years agoSeasoned Ace
Indeed. The original speed was fine. Then they sped it up to unreasonable levels. And then they did what I said they would do. They rolled it back a little, so we'd eat the difference from the original speed and timers, because at least it's better than the first change. And that's where we are today. 🙃

@ooootoxicoooooThis goes along with my post earlier on that island map with the rocky terrain, if you drop too far away from where the final ring is you can forget about winning the match or finishing in the top 5, it's just too many rocks to run around and up and down hills to climb. That's the one map that doesn't do good with the new ring speed. Also, the valleys bunch all the teams together so that they kill each other off and then the survivors die to the ring and leave like 5 squads left. For next season I hope they slow down the ring speed, the season I came in on, the one right before the revenant reborn promo, had the just right amount of speed to me.
I know you all are going to hate me for this:
The ring speed right now is just fine, you do have to be aware if you have dropped far away from the next ring, loot less or faster and not wait till the last second to move to the next ring.
A good IGL will be able to help the team with this, if you are playing with Randoms then one of you will have to IGL or just make that choice to move on their own.
If the ring is killing you a lot then it is more than likely a poor judgment/decision making reason/s and not necessarily the ring.
My problem is with the ring damage, I actually think it does not do enough damage, getting caught in the storm should bring big penalties and not be a place one can survive in and play in for extended periods of time.

Had this guy the other day asking, in French, if I spoke French. To which I answered "why would I speak French?" and muted him. Naturally got him as a teammate again two games later.
Anyway, it's just annoying that you have to spend all game running, and for some reason when ring 2 and 3 are closing, there's always 1-2 teams who insist on fighting you outside of zone, so the winning team just ends up dying to ring.
They have to give outer-POI teams time to loot, fight, and rotate, like in the before-time. - HappyHourSumwur2 years agoSeasoned Ace@reconzero The ring timings for the season they introduced Vantage called Hunted was an absolute disaster. You had something like 45 seconds after drop and then it moved at warp speed with crazy damage. I hated that season.
