"it's also almost aimbot-level overpowered"
I'm not trying to be disrespectful when I say that this made me laugh out loud. It's just the truth. Controller player for 25 years here, and my reticle has NEVER locked onto anything, NEVER tracked anything more than a nudge in the general direction, or EVER held a target so I could one clip. Not in Halo, not in CoD, not in PUBG, not in Apex. I say this every time one of these threads gets going, and to this day no one has ever been able to offer an explanation of how players can possibly have such dramatically differing perceptions or experiences. I get the "you just can't aim" thing quite a bit. Which is ludicrous on the face of it when you consider that the entire argument is that aa doesn't even require a player to aim on their own.
So let me say again what I've been saying all along. If you have enemies SNAPPING to you in cqc fighting, that is NOT aa. That's an actual aimbot. It's a cheat. Why is it so hard for people to accept that they're facing cheaters in a game with a long and documented history of cheating?
And the real answer here is not to get rid of controller aa. It's to get rid of mixed lobbies.
