If you don't like ratters get a scan legend and hunt them down. Or accept them as part of the game. OR CRY ABOUT IT ON A PUBLIC FORUM

The OP is right, it is the game. I mean we've been saying it but he said it succinctly.
Scan meta is BS, but that was BS long before the ranked system came into play. When you have certain characters with simply better abilities, you get scan meta and it's completely, overtly, grossly obvious that to know where people are is far, far more important than setting up a fence that stuns them somewhere. Respawn could fix that by making said fence setter better, but they won't, because they don't care about that character.
The way the game is now just doesn't make it better, that's all. The same problems with the game were there before ranked, but the ranked system forces a way for people to play because core design is weak, and that's the problem.
Play pubs if you enjoy Apex still, because over there the game plays more like it used to. I'm also waiting for Control to come back, because that's the best game mode that exists right now. Ranked is extremely boring for all the reasons already said. No need to bother with it if it isn't exciting for you. Let the 3 stacks face only other 3 stacks and suffer the penalties when they get wrecked. Playing solo right now is simply feeding the 3 stacks.
