Cross play and cross progress for Apex

Hey peeps, I just wanted to give my insight on cross play and cross progress in Apex. Personally I've been waiting for this feature for a while and I know Devs have lots to do with new seasons, bugs ect... But I wish we could have a time frame for when this would be happening (if it does make it into the game). I know many people are often pessimistic about this feature saying how console players would have a disadvantage. Even though I think this would  be a real issue I think the way Epic Games handled it with Fortnite was pretty good. Players on console matchmaking with a teammate on PC (premade squads) would be loaded in a game on PC, even though console players would have a disadvantage they could still play with friends on PC.

The players on console or PC could choose who they want to match make with, I'm sure this has many flaws but something along those lines could maybe work.

However even if I do want cross progress I do not believe that this feature will be implemented into the game. This because (as many of you know) in an interview with one of the Devs (I don't know if it was a dev, all I know is that is was someone from Respawn) they said that it was practically impossible to do.

In conclusion I believe Respawn should give us a time frame for cross platform -if it makes it into the game- .

I also think that cross progress will not be implemented to Apex.

This is all just my opinion, I know this will be controversial for some people but don't take this too personally as this is only my opinion.

    You don't want cross play on this game.

    Apex Legends has one of the worst problems with cheating compared to any other competitive FPS at the moment due to the same engine used from the Titan Fall series (which has an aimbot wall hack suite built a few years back which works on this game). It's so easy to hack the game in fact that on PC many games would have a bot account tell you where to buy the hacks online with a recorded message over voice chat as you prepare to drop and then they DC straight after.

    Reporting players for cheating is only easy on the Xbox, on the PS4 and PC it's quite convoluted and barely checked, all the hack users know this. So in sum the platform where the cheating is less used is Xbox, even though it's still relevant there.

    The main reason the cheating is so bad is due to accounts/profiles being sold with high kill counts and rare badges etc. So you'll have people (working for websites where they are sold, or solo players just making a profit) just grinding games for 8 hours a day using these scripts like a day time job. Accounts can sell from $25 upwards.

    The game has been compromised for a long while, EA just hope younger players who are unaware will keep playing, along with profiting off the cheaters who constantly make new accounts and buy stuff from the store to help the accounts they sell look more appealing (skins etc).
