- 3 years ago@Cheese9Man we're talking about ranked, right? If you're playing on console, then you would play ranked on console servers. It won't transfer that progress to PC. They'll be separate.

Reminder, my last post is based on my opinion that ranked might still be platform specific. In no way am I saying that's what it's going to be. To anybody reading these posts 🙂

@swift07 sadly the video is quoting an ex employee. But thank you for that.
I would really like to be able to use my xbox skins on my laptop account, but without cross progression won't that just make it a smurf nightmare, either way? It seems a very odd to do.
That would mean any skins on pc would be also be "merged".
What about badges? Although I suppose that goes along with progression.
If skins could be merged then it would seem a simple matter to chose the platform with the most progress, and that would be the account progress on all platforms going forward.
- 3 years ago@OldTreeCreeper you'll be able to use your console account on your PC with all your cosmetics and progress (badges fall into this category).
The thing that Respawn mentions is that you won't be able to merge 2 accounts. A lot of people who have moved to PC from console, made new accounts and purchased cosmetics, so they were hoping that accounts could be merged when cross progression came out. - 3 years ago
@hayhorI don't work for Respawn, so I can say what they're going to do. Maybe they will separate them or maybe ranked progression will be the same. I guess I could see them keeping it the same, because it might be easier for them to do. Although, it would make more sense to separate them.

@swift07 OK. I was thinking from the perspective of same email ea account on all platforms.
Amalgamation of different email accounts is a different issue in my mind.
If they are putting the badges across, then they may well choose the highest account stats from each platform for my single email account, and amalgamate them too.

@hayhor if they don't merge the stats, rank, etc then it would be a Smurf fest.
Imagine a load of preds from last season in bronze IV this season....
- 3 years ago@OldTreeCreeper Your account can be used on any platform.
They did say progression (including badges) will be carried over. Only thing I'm not sure of is ranked. I have not heard anything about it. - 3 years ago
For me now I am on my pc.. using the same email address and account but starting for scratch.. do I start putting money into this one now? Seems a waste if maybe in 6 months I can actually use my progressed x box account. I have heirlooms and that on my x box! Difficult position until we know exactly what EA/respawn devs are doing as the guy who announced it has left the business now as well! Would you start investing into your pc new account?
- 3 years ago@DMHewson13 The dev stated that's what cross progression would be. If that statement was false, Respawn would've came out and clarified it. But...if cross progression doesn't happen the way the dev stated, then the topic would be whether we trust in what Respawn says.

If I were you, I wouldn’t spend anything on the “new” account until everything is announced. They said 2022 but at this point I doubt that we’re getting cross progression. What looks like to be sure is that they will be forced to put out a statement about it before the year ends.
