Kashera gambled with ambush but his secondary weapon is charge riffle, he bailed out. Wattson who suppose to hold an angle for distruption also bail out and hurt in the process, need to heal, join the party late and got beam from Heaven by Hal.
TSM rotate from BAD spot to GOD spot, and there's no way Ascend gonna win from their position. I think this's credit to Hal for making all the right call. He's true IGL.

If he wait 100%, he probably die since the ring already start closing and he has no space to hide and pull the EMP.
From that moment, he knows the end is near and try to ambush as last resort.
