Data centers changed
Hi, my data center have changed all the different servers i used to play on are gone now. how can i change it back to pervious version. Here is screenshot how it looks now.
server performance and stability went from bad to horrible... Thats what you get when game is dying and there are not enough people to fill the spots. Whats the next step? 3 servers? 2? maybe 1 that would work...
My performance is much better. It looks like they're using AWS now, which is a good thing. They were before, but I think their load balancers are what you see in the server pick list, and those might have been in on-prem datacenters, some were in the cloud like the ones listed with GCE in their name = Google. It's not a list of actual servers, more just the entry point to a bunch of servers. I work in IT and there's no way a single server would ever support the number of users that play this game, even if you split up those users by region. My ping time is much more stable and I'm not getting disconnects anymore. Great job!
Its gotten worse for me....previously, to EU servers, i used to get around 160-180...on bad days up to 200. I live in South Africa and the Middle East servers had no traffic at all - could not find games there. After the changes now, its over 200ms ping as a standard. We have AWS available locally but no local servers for us or the African region. There is a large player base locally from what i understand....so getting this level of ping now has made the game unplayable for me.
Thx man, Ex IT here too. I allready thought that one Euro server would have been some powerfull cluster or something.
If it were really 1 server it would crumble i think under the heavy load,. Or matchmaking should have been speed up like crazy, and it's not, MM is about the same now.
More stable games now? Maybe, but still i get these starvation and packet loss icons at times; and those **bleep** 5 sec full freezes, Annoying as hell those freezes. Might be a thing since DX12 (dint notice this before S23) or servers ...
