Destroyed Charge Rifle

So major update in season 18 is destroyed Charge Rifle. Was fun to play with Charge Rifle, now not anymore. They done the same as with Triple Take, they killed the fun

  • And so the. Charge Rifle 'Rework' was effectively taken from the Havok Rifle with Select-Fire Hop-Up playbook (but the CR does more damage).I used to love playing with the Havok with the Select-Fire option but just don't like the reworked Charge Rifle either,

  • The charge rifle and Seer never had a reason to Exit, now look how they became unusable 🙂
It was too long anyway at this point it didn't even matter anymore they were things you had to live with in Apex.
why don't you say anything like Revenant was destroyed too... his tactical feels like it should have been for Vantage, and then a flat boring shield.
  • The Charge Rifle was roundly criticized for requiring little to no skill before. Now that they added bullet drop and a firing delay to require more skill to use it well, people are complaining. Not that I'm defending Respawn, but there are some things that game developers cannot win at. For Apex, that is map & weapon design.

@HappyHourSumwur There's no bullet drop in the current charge rifle. At least from the videos I've seen. If a person learns to pre charge it or track well its actually stronger than before.
  • cuz i've never played as Revenant, due to finding this legend too complicated. but at this season i noticed it's hard to kill him. basically dude kills all team on his own.

A longbow has 12 bullets, of these 12 you'll definitely hit someone at least 3 times. Basically they made Charge Rifle a Sentinel just with different sound effect

Don't know if it's worse. First time I fired one yesterday I did 135 dmg to a guy far far away. If/when one bothers to learn how much you need to lead on a moving target and the bulletdrop, it could prove to be pretty strong.

  • @hayhor It's become a risk reward weapon. I like that they finally added mags but hate that the cap is 8. I won't use it much this season. My fav sniper is still the Longbow.
