Devotion back as a normal weapon???
Why did you add it back to the game as a normal weapon it was in the care package for a reason the devotion is to powerful and everyone dies instantly even using it I hate it because it’s so powerful...

@AymCTL If you landed every shot with a devotion you would have destroyed whoever you were shooting at.
@RockDokRock No, that's actually normal for this season because of the hit reg bug. I landed all the shots and that was the only enemy I hit all match, it said 39 for my total damage at the end. This season has been the worst so far for this, I think the max damage I've done with one mag on any gun is in the 60s this season. Hopefully they will fix this. However, this season I can't see killing anything with only one mag with any gun, devotion especially. The damage is just so low right now that it's tough to even get a kill unless the 3 of you jump 1 person.
@AymCTLYou should start uploading videos of this. I have a hard time believing many of these claims. Unless your ping is unrealistically bad I can't see that begin true. Ping can kill you with that.
I share many of your frustrations but most of it (for me) is just match making. I have sessions where everyone is just better than me and the fights will pretty much always end the same way no matter what.
You're on PC right? It's true cheating is more of an issue on that but I find it very difficult to believe you hit with every shot with a Devotion anyway (that in of itself is unlikely) and if you did you only got 36 damage. I get the occasional hit reg issue (clearly a shot should have hit) but never anything on that scale. And I put that down to the fact I am playing on a crap ping so there is more delay when I play than most as I live fairly remotely (Malta) and there is no way around that.
I don't think cheating is as big as a thing on console but I do come across players who have ridiculous movement which makes me suspicious. Cronos users? Dunno. But most of my bad experiences are simply a skill issue. I'm just not on the same level as those around me which makes it hard.
- @RockDokRock I am actually going to try to start uploading footage since I just started teaming up with a twitch streamer and he is having similar issues and complaints to what I'm experiencing, so I'm going to ask him if we can record more of our playtime.
The ping I have is usually pretty low, like 30 or so when I start and in the 20s while in the game.
I could see this being a skill issue if so many people didn't have the problem, but I meet new people each night that have the same complaints that they can aim at people, shoot them, and do very little damage. Also, you can see that the shots connect with the other person, they just don't do damage.
I posted in a thread a couple months ago showing a video Evan Verhulst made on YouTube where you can see his shots connect and do no damage. Verhulst is considered the best aimer in apex so for him to be saying this you know it isn't a skill issue.
Not to derail this thread, as for the devotion, I can easily do 250 damage with it to the dummies with the dummies on run strafe mode, so it is weird it's just in PvP matches that guns are not doing much damage right now.@AymCTLI envy your 30 ping... best I get is around 60. Playing with some of my friends it can jump up to 180-220. On a higher ping shots not registering is more common. In another thread I saw someone say there is some sort of method they use to normalise this so a higher ping isn't a disadvantage but I don't buy that for a second.
