Dibs Exclusivity

I have a suggestion for the “Dibs” mechanic.

whenever a player “dibs” and item, make the item only accessible to that player who called dibs on it.

If your team can ignore the dibs you called on the item and take it for themselves, then the mechanic is completely useless. This will prevent teammates from taking the item for themselves.

Just a thought 🙂

Telling you to appreciate when your teammates take the time to ping the location of loot makes me an "egomaniac"? OK, then.

If you want to loot something, go get it. This idea of "I saw it first, so it's mine" is pretty infantile.

  • @hayhor not really dude, if you did the work I believe you are entitled to the best loot. I'll happily stand back and let the teammates have it if they did the work. I believe in sharing loot tho too, so I'm not saying there shouldn't be exceptions based on the situation. But nothing drives me more crazy like when you were fighting alone and your teammates just hoover up all the loot because they lack common decency. Insta quit.

@blackeyeriver I get that when you 1v3 another team and then they come to get the loot but if they were there with you and fighting chances are they helped in some way. Had one enemy not been shooting at your teammate you may not have gotten the kill. People really underestimate this part. Sometimes the distraction is as valuable as the shooting.

Also as I said if you are worried about 3rd parties or moving to the next fight you loot as fast as possible.
  • No for sure, I agree. I simply meant if you did ALL the work and they take the loot it's kinda scuffed. My kill my loot, your kill your loot if no one else was helping. If it's a busy match, grab what you can. Makes sense to me, I'll happily ping what I don't need and I expect the same in return and at no point would I ever leave anyone on my team without something they need. I'm more referring to things like shields for example.

  • @ashjkhfd No.

Imagine you're in a fight, you've pinged an armor for your team mate but he/she runs off, after dibbsing it. Now you're cut off with the team between you and you don't have time to heal. The armor is now locked and you can only stand there like a fool and die.
