- @KelRiever Just to ask though. How many games you have played? How many hours into apex all together? How many hours a day do you play? Because a lot of us who complain have over 4k hours over 15k games and play up to 12 hours a day. Like i said what do we know though the newer players are just better then us. =/
- I don't know what game you guys are playing but you guys act like this games TTK is pretty high. Imho this games TTK is great compared to other shooter games I played. The Mastiff nerf was needed as the game was growing stale and people even started calling it Mastiff legends cause of how much you need the Mastiff to fight other Mastiff players. I'm glad they didn't touch EVA-8 cause in my opinion this gun is a perfectly balanced shotgun which is hard to achieve.
- @Daze623 I think its well balanced myself. But when comes to mastiff the devs knew it started in care package for a reason. The pure power of it. It was even placed in care packages before the peacekeeper. I honestly feel no gun in the game should drop a red shield person with 2 perfect shots other then kraber but this gun is also a crate weapon for its pure power it rocks. I like the gun but lets face it. The meta right now is toxic. Both meta guns require very little skill and makes apex little easier imo.
301 - mastiff are the new meta of what most pros use. They did changes to r99 to make it non meta for all. Mastiff now needs more done to it to change the meta on it. - @Lord_Scorpion34 I think what they do when we all complain about something is they look at the numbers and stats for the gun to see how it measures up to other guns. They then try to balance it accordingly to those numbers.
The tricky part with that is balancing guns based on skill. Guns that are not OP in medium and low skill lobbies can be insanely OP in top tier lobbies. Very minimal changes can have huge impacts. Well indeed that a low TTK favors the best players the most (who have the best reaction speed and awareness, as it is less forgiving) those are facts my dudes. Why the best aims in the world are playing games with short TTK (and why the best Apex players left in season 1-3). I´m not even sure why people still do not grasp why the best players prefer low TTK over a high, duh - they get the most out of it. As you can see in the most competitive FPS games out there.
I agree with KelRiever. If its not going to be mastiff, people will start crying about Eva 8 when the decent players start using it instead. Just look at what happend with Wingman / PK. They removed the POG out of Apex, and instead its filled with people who hold hands and still cry about losing 3v1 against a Mastiff.
I dont care much about Mastiff, I want the PK back (unbuffed, when it actually took some skill to use it). But increasing TTK again and again with nerfs, will just be a bad thing that will make the best players leave this game.
- @NitromethaneAP Wingman can also 2 shot someone with aim. This requires skill to pull this off. Mastiff can down a red shield user most times with simply body shots. This is a huge difference. Eva takes roughly 3-4 shots direct contact at times. Time to kill is super fast as is. I like it. But the gun itself is quite over powered to be a ground spawn weapon that someone can land on and easily take out 6 people with hardly even trying. Even hip fire at times can land 70 damage or more.
So to compare it to wingman that actually requires skill to a gun that requires hardly any skill at all is not good imo. @E9ine_AC Wingman in this meta is completely useless, 301 outperforms it by miles.
Mastiff I don't really care much about, I want the old PK back - I want a wingman that can actually contest against an 301.Although I don't like this increasing TTK with all the nerfs, I think there should be good weapons that cater to having a good aim (I don't really include Mastiff in that). But there should be some powerful weapons that allowes you to do really good with them, otherwise this game will turn into meh (I.E hold hands 24/7 take no risk and move like a giant slime and spray at anything that moves and hope for the best).
I do agree that Mastiff is too easy to use. And should never have replaced PK.
The thing with PK was that it was super hard to be consistently good with it (due to how the spread work) - and people never considered it to be really broken, but alot of people started crying that PK was too inconsistent. So they overbuffed it in season 3 (with the spread change) so anyone could hit with it, people cried that indeed it was broken and they ended up swapping a high skill weapon with a no brain weapon (I.E Mastiff) after basically ruining PK - they should have just reverted the pellet spread change they did in season 3, but they are too stubborn and yeah here we are.
@NitromethaneAPDoesn't matter if it's low TTK or high, players with good aim will always win. Games like CS:go require reaction time and crosshair placement, while Apex high TTK is more tracking focused. Now players with best aim usually have mastered both, so it does not matter for them.
If I wanna play low TTK I play tactical shooter like Valorant, Apex TTK is perfect for the way it plays. Low TTK in Apex will make the whole healing system redundant. Even if someone suddenly comes up from behind and shoots at you, you can still back out, heal up and get back to fight. This creates a lot of outplay potential. That's what makes this game so much more enjoyable than Warzone.
So if you prefer low ttk, should just play Warzone. Or try one shot games like Valorant, let's see how KerlRiver fares there since he claims he is 'so good'.@BaldWraithSimp I enjoyed the TTK Apex began with and had up to season 2.
It would be like me saying, if you didnt enjoy the TTK Apex had - instead of crying for nerfs you should have gone and played another game.
