The absolute worst thing of all, are people who don't respond and wallow in apathy when you're being attacked.
You get spotted, shot at, you're running, using a battery, you ping enemy here, and after a full 20 second of that, your lvl 23 team mates are literally still looting close by, no clue about what's happening.
Those are the worst of the worst.
- 7 years ago@Wingmannedbro Aka brain dead + no common sense zombie >.> yes I know the feeling. BUT I do do this sometimes; I know enemies are nearby, I calculate the odds of winning against them and decide to go. I ping enemies here + let’s go there, one of them follows and other goes for the attack alone, completely disregarding my follow up ‘lets go here’... gets killed by a 3 man team... then my next teammate wants to go for a respawn pick up while I’m thinking ‘nooo... you showed promise!!!’ and dies... and I’m like ‘yup, f y2 and just leave match’ no matter if we’re 3rd, 7th, 18th.

I'm not talking about me making a dumb push and my team mates retreating.

@Wingmannedbro @Koochi-Q It's not entirely their faults. I would say I became better at grouping with my squad around level 60+ to be fair. I tend to rush around the map looking for some action but it can be hard to tell if they're actually new or if they're veterans themselves on their alts 😪 .. but I could certainly improve at playing at their pace.
They could advance the training in the beginning to add steps, telling players some useful things like this. "Don't forget to stick with your team after you get some loot." And really emphasize it.
Or if that would be too far into the future than just ... maybe a very short tutorial in the beginning before that with flip-pages new players can click through that gives some vital info like this that a level 1 could use.
- 7 years agoSo wat do u suggest?? Just run into a fight with zero weapons, no armor or grenades?? Wat a dumb suggestion. usually i need to run through 6-7 buildings to find a single gun with more then 1 clip of ammo. How about dont engage until your team has at least a basic loadout? If u get attacked because u were too far from your team and alone, guess who has "no clue"... Stick with team, use a mic, dont engage alone and u will have a better time im sure. The WORST players are the marathon runners, they hog loot and rush alone die instantly and cry their team sucks, lol. Those guys are horrible, sometimes there are two and its like they are tryin to ditch the third guy, higgin all loot and rushing away to the next town before u can even find a single gun. In the end, if u dont use a mic u have zero right to say your team mates are the issue, ever. If u dont care why should they?
- 7 years ago@Wingmannedbro I had a bot on my team in a pub earlier today when I was playing with a friend. We were all sorta spread out looting and when I was just 10 seconds away from him he pinged hostiles about 100 times. I pinged okay on his mark and he proceeded to get on the mic and say "nah we don't need you if you're over there" and went in and died. He then left the game and I killed that whole squad lmao.

@iBlockHead Yes the amazing ping system....It's certainly good when used correctly, generally gets pointlessly spammed though lmao.
That being said the randoms using it efficiently are usually the randoms i win games with so your point is perfectly valid. 😛

I absolutely is their fault, nobody has an excuse for not responding to being attacked. I repeat, the situation I am describing is where they are a stone's throw away from me. They hear loud gunfire very close by, my character has audible quips when you get shot at and hit. It's fully, completely their fault.
I never played shooters before Apex, and it's not like I didn't know about if my team mate was being attacked, and I responded to it from the very first game onward.
