does this command CrossPlay_user_optin "0" really turn off crossplay?

To keep it short I remember seeing someone mention adding this command to the command lines in the steam/origin launcher on pc to "turn off crossplay".

does this command really do just that or is it just an illusion?

I've tried looking this up to see what others think but wasn't able to find too much about this unfortunately

  • @soccerking122 I do not think so no. There really is no way to bypass the programming the system is set up to do. If that did work then it would completely stop them from queueing into a game due to thats not how it is designed and most likely would be completely ignored.
  • @soccerking122 If I am correct, this command is for another option:
When you go to the lobby and click on the friends menu either in the bottom right corner of the screen or on one of the party slots next to you legend you will see the friend menu. On the left there is an option called crossplay invites. It can be set to display or deny all.
I think the value "0" for the command will display as deny all and "1" as display.
I am about 95% sure that is what the command is for.
