  • @asukojo I wasn't picking at all which does explain the frequency with which I had the issue in such a short space of time.

Thanks for dropping in and explaining. 😛

  • @MandatoryIDtagI honestly don’t mind and won’t be insanely critical of them for using recycled content. COVID has created some very complex challenges for businesses, especially businesses that require working on teams and together. Yeah some of the work might be able to be done independently at home. But the stuff that requires multiple teams/people working together will be challenging.

i’ve been impressed by the amount of content they have been able to maintain and add given the circumstances.

  • @DarthValtrex  Most of it will have been in development long before covid kicked in I reckon lol. Hard to believe they just hit the drawing board mid pandemic and whipped up polished concepts and developed them during the pandemic.

Recycled content is never going to get an overly positive reaction, especially when said content was essentially just a beta test to start with.

Perhaps it would have been more prudent to just raise there hands up and say "look we're going to struggle to bring you fresh content due to current circumstances, we'll just focus on improvements on the game in its current state"

Bringing the game up to where it should be performance wise would likely have received a much more positive response.

@DarthValtrexI think using covid as the excuse at this point is bs. This didnt just start. We are 6 months into this and it is going to last at least that much more time. After a couple months someone in charge needed to find ways to be successful, especially when EA has said their games are been more successful than ever with people being home. But that is the thing with EA. If there is not an issue and they are making more and more money they do not focus resources properly. I know this from Fifa, the largest money grubbing micro transaction disaster of all time in my eyes.

@MandatoryIDtag Doesn't matter that much if stuff was developed long before the pandemic. Development and release versions are usually different branches and, every time there's an update, they have to merge them and test it thoroughly. But testing builds remotely is much slower and way more prone to bugs. It's no wonder to me that they are delaying the release of a new map and try to stretch it with recycled modes.
  • @DoYaSeeMe  Be that as it may, the fact remains it is just recycled content...it's not bringing anything new or exciting to the game.

Much more interested to know what they're doing about long standing in game issues, and just how much focus there is on them.

This game needs fine tuning more than it needs a set of LTM's and some more skins lol.

@DarthValtrex @MandatoryIDtag @hayhor pretty much IMO, the bottom line is regardless of whether or not Covid has slowed down operations (which it undoubtedly has), not having fresh content has been an issue since the game came out. On top of that, issues that have persisted for seasons on end still remain present to this day (hit-reg, audio, server performance) and have had literally nothing to do with Covid.

Quoting Covid as solely the reason why there hasn't been anything new, or why the game hasn't had major QoL improvements is pretty much just a blatant cop-out on their part. It'd probably wouldn't be so bad had they consistently communicated with people across platforms.

While there are comments on people's posts on Reddit, it'd be nice if they took the first step and proactively said, "Hey we've seen X, Y, and Z post, and we've taken this, this, and this into account and we're working on this, this, and this. Talk to us in the comments about what else we should look into yada yada yada."

  • @pastaclown  It seems we're basically of the same mindset then.

This game is good, I mean really good. If the focus was on giving it the TLC it needs i really wouldn't be overly bothered about a constant stream of content because the core game is what I enjoy.
