@DoYaSeeMeIt's basically unplayable unless you cheat. I've run into at least 5 different teams of 4-6 working together. I don't know why EA does not fix this. It's really ruining the game for those of us who don't want to cheat. They were even sharing heals between enemy squads. This should by far be one of their top priorities.
- @DoYaSeeMe My first impressions are solid as well. Two wins in duos last night (more so luck than anything to brag about). As a caustic main I find things to be easier, I'm quite used to being in situations where a teammate runs off, gets cooked by an entire squad, then spams the pings. It's much easier to save them when it's a 1v2 and not a 1v3, where, like others say, you down two and the third gets you because of how weak the other two got you. Third parties are way more common as well, and it is a tad annoying, but caustic gas traps usually help circumvent that anyway. I actually haven't had the med shortage problems like others, I can usually end up with like 12 shield cells and 3 medkits by mid game. All in all, it's doing pretty solid as a game mode in my eyes.
Really enjoying duo's! Fights are a lot more forgiving and co-ordination is much much easier!
Definitely could see this being a permanent thing!
- @Cabowse Your answer frightens me :P.
If Duos becomes permanent, it may suck a lot of good team players out of the default Trios, leaving it to wither in toxicity, ragequitting and bad moves. I still consider the battles of trio squads to provide the greatest thrills, so, when duos ends, I'm hoping to see some stellar team playing in casual / ranked modes. - @DoYaSeeMe You could be right, I could see more casual players playing duo's over squads as well, I just hope they keep bringing it back every so often at least.
- @DoYaSeeMe Lot's of teaming.
Overall like the duo vs trio mode.
Picking up a third player either from friends list or discord seems to be a challenge as of late.
Out of the first 10 games we pulled 4 wins and 4 top 5 placements with 2 crappy games. (Both of those revolved around 4th party Charge weapon snipers.)
So all in all duos is living up to what I expected it to be. The charge weapon has got to seriously go though. Getting downed by a player with 12 kills??? Really, I mean I know they want a balance to the game for noobs, but seriously wtf is wrong with learning how to use a sniper? That is my rant for today I shall go in my corner and get ready for another night of diving and killing whoever gets in my way.
Good luck to you all.
- @mastiffslinger So a guy with 12 kills (on that particular legend) isn't qualified to down you? It could have been their smurf account and they are simply disguised as a noob.
I have seen duo's teaming up with other duo's already though, it's pathetic behavior but expected. DUOs with Random:
- If you get good random, you will thrive with him/her and build strong bounding since you've to really work very closely, high chance become friend.
- If you get bad random, you will struggle and frustated really hard since there's no other 3rd partner that can cover bad random.
- Enemy team mate ussually very close , rarely they scatter apart, so intense battle.
- A lot of 3rd party since more teams and break time between battle is much shorter.
- More loots available on death box.
- If you're bad, you immediately get exposed, no where to hide.
- Can't do daily challenge in duo, since I cannot be selfish when you only have 1 team mate who count on you.
Note: Lululovely and DoctorDisrespect was having hard time playing Duo with Random yesteday, even good player cannot overcome bad random partner.
