EA - Stop Making Free Games To Deter Cheating!

I'm sure everyone will agree with the expression that there is more than one way to skin a cat, meaning there are many ways to go about things.

1. Stop making free games, charge a small fee for this game $10-$20 USD as an example.

2. When cheaters are caught, and they now have to make a new account to play, they are going to have to buy the game over again!

3. As I mentioned, another way to this, everyone that uses an Origin account needs a valid credit card on file, if you are caught cheating, you are charged a cheating fine, like $50-$100 USD, as example.

In the world of business and people's pocket books, the only way to make a difference is to hurt them where it counts and it makes people think twice about their actions, is with their FINANCES!

When there are no financial repercussions for wrong doing, then problematic situations like this will continue!

Lastly, EA, you might need to start going after these Developer Cheaters and take them into courts of law and sue them, and make examples out of them, so the world will sit up and pay attention, and future Developer Cheaters will consider now, if the risk is worth it!

P.S. This game might be free, but it's starting to get to the point that it's not even worth playing for free, there are just to many cheaters, ruining the gaming experience!

If people are banned, they have to create a new account, then pay for the game over, each time they are banned, why isn't this going to have any effect on cheating?

I'm not sure why someone would want to pay over and over for a game, each time they are caught...

I mean, paying for fallout 76 didn't stop it from being plagued by hackers, I doubt making Apex a paid game would make it any different.

  • I guess the way to consider it, would be like saying, there are going to be the Hardcore Cheaters, those who spend vast amounts of time and energy trying to circumnavigate, and for those, well they might figure how to get away without needing a new account and paying for the game over.

For the Casual Cheater, who spends no time learning this Black Art, just gets a cheat and wants to play, and that's the end of their efforts, I can see that when these types of people get their accounts banned, and they want to play again, they are going to need to create a new account and they will have to purchase the game over.

So the question I'd assume that would be on the minds of the DEV TEAM is, how many people will they be able to deter with this sort of thing...

I personally still believe that if people are caught cheating, and they have to create a new account and then you have to start the game over, and you also have to pay again, this will deter some people.

I never said it was 'The Solution', or the Perfect Solution, it's just an 'Added Layer', and the only way to over come something like this, is by adding/including as many layers of security/protection as possible, for the best possible outcome...

  • pay what for a used account?  Nothing really. Done all the time o
