You should learn to code and then you'll see just how insanely complex software development is. No, we don't just flip 1 value to another and call it a day. Without a good QA process, you'll just introduce more bugs, and then players will complain moreso.
Ultimately, if you feel the company doesn't respect you, you need to have respect for yourself, and refuse to do business with them. As the consumer, that's all the control you really have over the situtation.

It's funny folks keep talking about coding, studio's create games using existing game engines, and those run on UNIX kernels from Linux in server infrastructure.
That's where the actual coding is done. Studio's don't create an entire new engine when they make games.
I work with DAW's like Ableton and ProTools, that doesn't mean i'm "coding" to be honest. The amount of coding done in game development is fairly minimal.
