@asukojo Streamers as anti cheat authority is a pretty bad idea. Not only that they are strongly biased, but they also don't have enough available time to do proper police work (as it means sacrificing the majority of their play time), they lack developer knowledge (tools, methods, coding, etiquette, etc.) and they are vulnerable (a lot of them had their accounts hacked, their connection killed, etc.). It would be pretty easy to have anti cheat stuff fall into the hands of hackers with all these insecure points.The fight against DoS and DDoS did not start with Apex, it's been going on for decades. Respawn had this fight going on since Titanfall and there are rumors it might be some of their former colleagues that exposed some vulnerabilities or vital info, probably regarding their engine.Also, these type of attacks aren't that easy to spot. Thousands of players connecting at the same moment can resemble an attack, so if they make the system more sensitive, it would result in a lot of players not being able to play during peak times. Another things about these attacks is that they don't always need to be targeted at the game's servers to do damage. AWS is dealing with some of the biggest attacks pretty often.

@asukojoI do not trust streamers to uphold a healthy system. They die to someone even if by accident a lot already yell cheaters. Nor do big streamers have the time to do that type of work with them playing 12 hours a day so that is already flawed. People who would help with this would need 12 hours a day assisting with the actual issue. Not when they get bored and wanna do it.The program could work for people to help with this issue but I dont feel streamers are the way to go about it. That is just giving them more clout then they need. I personally would not want my fate in the hands of some streamer who is salty he got melted.We are talking about lets say maybe 50 top streamers who have a major viewing who could possibly be trusted for such a task. 50 people out of a possible 50m + playing players. With that being said they would not even scratch the surface which i can see they actually need not think through. I dont think people understand the magnitude of this type of work.

@asukojo Streamers having the ability to ban is a bad idea. Think about how people like hal and daltoosh react to stuff in game on stream. One death, they start freaking out and suddenly these characters must be nerfed. The incorrect rage banning would be off the charts.

@Cheese9Man LOL, when I watch Shiv playing ranked half the time he is spectating a blatant aimbotter. I don't think anyone could do a 'false ban' watching a aimbotter.

This is a sad state of the game. I love the passion that the community has shown around the issue. I guess we're all desperate because the state of the game is just that bad. Rather than having the community do the job for EA, let them be accountable and hire people. Have EA shell out some of that money they got from all those collection events. The burden of moderating games should not be given to the players. Hire an army of hideouts.

@Cheese9Man Also suggested a 2nd approach above- Express reporting system available for Diamond and above ranked to all players and then a team of devs like Hideouts to ban within minutes. EA shells money and resources, players have to do minimal

It's always somehow funny how it's blatantly obvious that this game has serious cheater issues but nobody at EA gives a damn about it simply because the game is good with money income and visibility. Unfortunately though Apex is not that big of a game to be talked about like fortnite was before. The only way to get things moving is to stop buying stuff ingame and making big streamers do like a strike, not playing Apex for 2-3 days multiple times, asking for big improvements. That would hurt the image of the game and maybe then EA would at least listen to us.

@asukojo no to streamers having any sort of control. Surely a meteoric rise through ranked is an obvious and overt place to start with immediate further inspection? The same with pubs levels? Got to be very easy to spot that player in the herd statistics.

The current situation of this game is unbelievable and unacceptable. ☹️
I am not that High Ranked (Ended in Platinum last season and now gold),
But I saw cheaters flequently who are bronze with 20 kills / 4k damage badge.
I didn't see many DDOS attacks myself, maybe 2 or 3 times.
And I am really sad to hear that high ranked is the paradise of cheating/DDOSing/teaming...
